Mi introducción a Hive Reverdeciendo desde Guarenas // My introduction to Hive Greening from Guarenas [ESP/ING]

Saludos a todos los miembros de HIVE, hemos llegado a esta plataforma de la mano de dos de nuestros integrantes @anaronez9g. Hoy voy a presentarles nuestro proyecto de Ecología Urbana.
Somos un equipo de personas de diferente edad que desde hace muchos años realizamos actividades en el ámbito ecologista, de hecho somos brigadistas ecológicos. En todos estos años hemos realizados talleres con niños y adolescentes, reproducir plantas, preparar avíos, reciclado plástico y recuperado espacios con ornamentación totalmente vegetal. Cada una de estas actividades las hacemos con la finalidad de crear conciencia de que tenemos que preservar las aéreas con vegetación que tiene nuestro Municipio y en especial nuestro amado país Venezuela.
De las actividades antes mencionadas surge la necesidad de dar una mejor respuesta a los efectos de la crisis climática que estamos viviendo, y que este año se ha sentido con más fuerza que en los años anteriores, en especial con las altas temperaturas, y les aseguro que en Guarenas normalmente hace calor, pero las temperaturas fueron tan altas que produjeron muchos incendios forestales en los cerros, y se perdió mucha vegetación y fauna, la fauna por supuesto no podemos recuperarla y para recuperar la flora se lanzaron avíos. Mientras que crecen los árboles de las semillas lanzadas en los avíos, los habitantes del valle de Guarenas tenemos que buscar la manera de producir espacios verdes que adsorban los rayos UV y reduzcan los efectos dañinos que tienen sobre la población.Nuestra respuesta a esta situación fue la creación de un vivero, al cual dimos el nombre de La Plantita donde se produzcan las plantas para la recuperación de los espacios de la Urbanización donde vivimos, al mismo tiempo producimos las plantas necesarias para el proyecto Barcones Verdes. También iniciamos la reproducción de cactus y suculentas con el fin de que el proyecto sea autosustentable y que las personas que se las llevan a su casa o a su oficina sientan la necesidad de cuidar a ese pedacito de vegetación que tiene en la mesa o en la ventana.
Lo primero que hicimos fue ubicar un espacio dentro de la urbanización en donde establecer y desarrollar nuestro proyecto, para ello conversamos con la Directora de Grupo Escolar Menca de Leoni, esta es una escuela que tiene más de 45 años de funcionamiento, es pública y cuentas con unas áreas verdes inmensas. Además, se encuentra ubicada al frente de edificio donde vivimos algunos de los integrantes del proyecto. Por aquí les dejo la foto para que conozcan el espacio donde estamos ubicados.
De la conversación con la directora de la escuela logramos que nos dieron el permiso de establecer nuestro proyecto, además nos permitieron iniciar la fase de reproducción de plantas en el Vivero Escolar, a cambio acordamos darle a la escuela un porcentaje de la ganancia de la venta de plantas, este aporte estará destinado a las mejoras de la planta física de la escuela. También acordamos distarles talleres a las y los alumnos relacionados con las actividades que desarrollamos en nuestro vivero. Como pueden ver nuestro proyecto no solo contribuye a mejorar el ambiente, también contribuye a la formación de un ciudadano más comprometido con el cuidado del ambiente. Greetings to all HIVE members, we have arrived to this platform thanks to two of our members and @anaronez9g. Today I am going to introduce you to our Urban Ecology project.
We are a team of people of different ages that for many years we have been doing activities in the field of ecology, in fact we are ecological brigadistas. In all these years we have carried out workshops with children and teenagers, we have reproduced plants, prepared tools, recycled plastic and recovered spaces with totally vegetal ornamentation. Each of these activities we do with the purpose of creating awareness that we have to preserve the areas with vegetation that has our municipality and especially our beloved country Venezuela.
From the above mentioned activities arises the need to give a better response to the effects of the climate crisis that we are experiencing, and that this year has been felt more strongly than in previous years, especially with the high temperatures, and I assure you that in Guarenas it is normally hot, but the temperatures were so high that produced many forest fires in the hills, and much vegetation and fauna was lost, the fauna of course we can not recover and to recover the flora was thrown in debris. While the trees grow from the seeds thrown in the debris, the inhabitants of the valley of Guarenas have to find a way to produce green spaces that absorb the UV rays and reduce the harmful effects they have on the population. Our response to this situation was the creation of a nursery, which we named La Plantita where plants are produced for the recovery of the spaces of the urbanization where we live, at the same time we produce the necessary plants for the Barcones Verdes project. We also started the reproduction of cactus and succulents so that the project is self-sustainable and that the people who take them home or to their office feel the need to take care of that little piece of vegetation that they have on their table or in their window.
The first thing we did was to locate a space within the urbanization where we could establish and develop our project, for this we talked with the Director of the Menca de Leoni School Group, this is a school that has more than 45 years of operation, it is public and has immense green areas. In addition, it is located in front of the building where some of the members of the project live. Here is a photo to show you the space where we are located.
From the conversation with the director of the school we were given permission to establish our project, they also allowed us to start the phase of plant reproduction in the School Nursery, in exchange we agreed to give the school a percentage of the profit from the sale of plants, this contribution will be used to improve the physical plant of the school. We also agreed to give workshops to the students related to the activities we develop in our nursery. As you can see our project not only contributes to improve the environment, it also contributes to the formation of a citizen more committed to the care of the environment
