My results in season 170, My Reward Card Upgrades and My Next Seasonal Goal
I've had two very busy and tiring days, and in fact, I haven't posted on Hive for two days.
Today, I finally have some free time and can resume posting on Hive, an activity I really enjoy.
I restart with Splinterlands, which was the first blockchain-based game that fascinated and entertained me and has always been one of the main topics of my posts on Hive.
My passion for Hive and Splinterlands has lasted for more than six years and is still going strong.

Season 170 of Splinterlands has just ended, and as always, it’s time to look back: results, mistakes, and new goals.
In this post, I share:
- my results in season 170
- the upgrade of my cards with the aim of improving my game results
- my goals for season 171 (the current season)
My results in season 170
Today, November 15, 2025, Season 170 ended in Ranked Play.
The current season, Season 171, will end in 14 days and 20 hours.
In season 170, I played in my two favorite formats: Modern Format and Frontier Format.
In Modern Format, I finished the season in 106th place on the Diamond Leaderboard with a rating = 2500, 358 battles played, and a win rate = 48.04%.
Compared to season 169, I improved my final rating by +80 points (2500 vs. 2420), improved my win rate (48.04% vs. 46.85%), but played fewer battles (358 vs. 397).
My goal for the season was to finish at least in the Diamond III league: goal not achieved!
To try to reach my seasonal goal, in the middle of the season I Had rented a third summoner: Brewmaster Abraxas of level 7
Brewmaster Abraxas of level 7 was especially useful in battles with the Little League rule, but since I had little free time during the last two days of the season, I couldn't use and test it in many battles.
In fact, in the Modern Format, I only have one archon of the highest level: Akane
For this reason, renting other top-level or at least high-level summoners is an important part of my gaming activity.
Some time ago, I was lucky enough to find two top-level summoners at a cost of less than 50 DEC per day:
- Nomos (39,900 DEC/day)
- Avina of the Wolf (44,567 DEC/day)
Renewing these two rentals before they expire is one of my priorities at the end of the season.
As for game rewards, unlike my previous reports, I cannot show my seasonal SPS earnings from my gaming activity because the site I use to track my seasonal results is not working today and remains stuck on Getting Splinterlands settings.
I hope this very useful site will be back up and running soon.
In season 170, I finally exceeded the threshold of 143K SPS staked, although my goal is to reach and exceed 150K SPS staked.
With the release of the Conclave Arcana set, I slowed down my race towards 150K SPS staked because I used part of my SPS earnings to purchase cards that can be used in the Modern Format.
From now on, I can resume speeding up my SPS accumulation because I have a card collection that allows me to be competitive in Gold leagues.
If I happen to drop down to the Silver leagues of the Modern Format during any season, I will use all my game rewards to purchase cards.
As for the Weekly Fortune Draws introduced in the Modern Format in October 2025, I participated four times out of four but was not lucky.
I enjoy participating in these Weekly Draws and hope that luck will smile on me in the future :)
In the Modern Format, my seasonal results improved, albeit only slightly, compared to the previous season.
In the Frontier Format, my seasonal goal was to improve on the results I had achieved in the previous season.
After several seasons in which I consistently improved my game results, in the last season I recorded slightly worse results than in the previous season.
In Frontier Format, I finished the season in the Gold I league, ranked 491st on the Gold Leaderboard with a rating = 3040.
In the previous season, I had achieved a better rating score and also a better position in the seasonal leaderboard.
An unachieved seasonal goal is a new goal to achieve, and I am starting the new season in a very positive and confident way because I have recently made good progress in upgrading my Foundation set cards.
My short-term goal in the Frontier Format is to have all summoners at least at level 3.
I have three out of five summoners at level three and have almost achieved this goal.

As for the Rarity Draws that can be purchased with Glints, I chose to follow the same strategy I used for the Rebellion Reward cards:
- Each season, I purchase rarity draws starting with Common Draws.
- When I complete batch 1, I move on to purchasing rarity draws of higher rarity.
Thanks to my in-game and seasonal rewards in GLINT, today I used:
- 100,800 GLINT to purchase 336 Common Draws.

I found 1 Gold Foil card in 336 Common Draws.
The probability of finding a Gold Foil card in Rarity draws is 1%.
Based on this probability, I was unlucky because I should have found at least three gold foil cards, but probability is not certainty, and luck and bad luck often balance each other out in the medium to long term.
Regular Foil cards are Soulbound, while Gold Foil cards are immediately transferable or sellable.
I put the gold card I found today up for sale with the aim of buying other cards.
With the cards I found in the 336 Common Draws, I was able to upgrade the level of 10 Conclave Arcana Reward cards of the common type.
The common reward cards are still too low level to be useful to me in battle because I have higher level cards with better stats, but I can already use some of them in battles that have specific rulesets.
For example, the level 5 Magmaforged card can be useful in battles with the Going to Distance rule and also in battles where I use cards with the sneak ability and have little mana available.
The cards Phlegmor, Palimpsest Prophet, and Ironwing Juggernaut are good choices in battles with the Little League rule.
Level 3 Husk Of The Hunter is a particularly useful card in battles with the Going the Distance ruleset because it has the Headwinds ability.
With the upgrade from level 4 to level 5, it has gained another attack point and will be even more useful in battles for me.
Level 5 Stonebind Matron could also be useful in certain battles, thanks to her Triage ability, which I like to use in combination with cards with the Taunt ability placed in the last positions.
That's exactly what I did today in a battle because I used level 5 Stonebind Matron in combination with Silverleaf Mage.
Along with Stonebind Matron, I also used Thunderhoop Nomad to have two cards with the Triage ability in order to further increase Silverleaf Mage's life point regeneration.
My strategy worked well because Silverleaf Mage attracted most of the opponent's attacks and managed to end the battle with 11 health points.
Yesterday, I also rented a new summoner: Chuul Jujinchi, level 8
I'll spend 74.85 DEC per day, but I'll have one more option to choose from, especially in battles where I have little mana available.
My goals for season 171
My new goals for the season 171 will be:
- to finish the season in Diamond III in the Modern Format
- to improve my game results (rating and win rate) in the Frontier Format
- play at least one tournament

Arrivo da due giorni molto impegnativi e anche stancanti e infatti sono due giorni che non pubblico post su Hive.
Oggi ho finalmente un pò di tempo libero e posso riprendere a pubblicare un post su Hive, attività che mi piace molto.
Riparto da Splinterlands che è stato il primo gioco basato su blockchain che mi ha appasionato e divertito e che è sempre stato uno dei principali argomenti dei miei post su Hive.
La mia passione per e per dura da più di sei anni ed è ancora viva.

La stagione 170 di Splinterlands si è appena conclusa e, come ogni fine stagione, è tempo di tirare le somme.
In questo post condivido:
- i miei risultati nella stagione 170
- l'upgrade delle mie carte con l'obiettivo di migliorare i miei risultati di gioco
- i miei obiettivi per la stagione 171 (la stagione attualmente in corso)
I miei risultati nella stagione 170
Oggi 15 novembre 2025, nel Ranked Play, è terminata la stagione 170.
La stagione in corso, la stagione 171, terminerà tra 14 giorni e 20 ore.
Nella stagione 170 ho giocato nei miei due formati preferiti: nel Modern Format e nel Frontier Format.
Nel Modern Format ho concluso la stagione al 106° posto nella Diamond Leaderboard con un punteggio di rating = 2500, 358 battaglie giocate e un win rate = 48.04%.
Rispetto alla stagione 169 ho migliorato il mio rating finale di +80 punti (2500 vs 2420), ho migliorto il mio win rate (48.04% vs 46.85%) ma ho giocato un numero inferiore di battaglie (358 vs 397).
Il mio obiettivo stagionale era di terminare la stagione almeno nella lega Diamond III: obiettivo non raggiunto!
Per provare a raggiungere il mio obiettivo stagionale a metà stagione avevo noleggiato un terzo evocatore: Brewmaster Abraxas di livello 7.
Brewmaster Abraxas di livello 7 mi è stato utile soprattutto nelle battaglie con la regola Little League ma avendo avuto poco tempo libero durante gli ultimi due giorni della stagione non ho potuto usarlo e testarlo in molte battaglie.
Infatti nel Modern Format ho solo un archon di massimo livello: Akane
Per questo motivo il noleggio di altri evocatori di massimo livello o almeno di livello alto è una parte importante della mia attività di gioco.
Tempo fa sono stato fortunato a trovare due evocatori di massimo livello ad un costo inferiore a 50 DEC al giorno:
- Nomos (39.900 DEC/day)
- Avina of the Wolf (44.567 DEC/day)
Rinnovare questi due noleggi prima della scadenza è una delle mie priorità di fine stagione.
Per quanto riguarda le ricompense di gioco, a differenza dei miei precedenti report, non posso mostrare il mio guadagno stagionale in SPS derivante dalla mia attività di gioco perchè il sito che uso per monitorare i miei risultati stagionali oggi non funziona e rimane fermo su Getting Splinterlands settings.
Spero che questo utilissimo sito torni a funzionare.
Nella stagione 170 ho finalmente superato la soglia di 143K SPS staked anche se il mio obiettivo è raggiungere e superare 150K SPS staked.
Con il rilascio del set Conclave Arcana ho rallentato la mia corsa verso i 150K SPS staked perchè ho utilizzato parte dei miei guadagni in SPS per acquistare carte utilizzabili nel Modern Format.
Da oggi in poi posso riprendere a velocizzare l'accumulo di SPS perchè ho una collezione di carte che mi permette di essere competitivo nelle leghe Gold.
Se durante qualche stagione dovessi scendere nelle leghe Silver del Modern Format utilizzerò tutte le mie ricompense di gioco per acquistare carte.
Per quanto riguarda i Weekly Fortune Draws introdotti nel Modern Format nel mese di ottobre 2025 ho partecipato quattro volte su quattro ma non sono stato fortunato.
Mi piace partecipare a questi Weekly Draws e spero che la fortuna possa baciarmi in futuro :)
Nel Modern Format i miei risultati stagionali sono migliorati anche se solo leggermente rispetto alla stagione precedente.
Nel Frontier Format il mio obiettivo stagionale era di migliorare i risultati che avevo ottenuto nella stagione precedente.
Dopo diverse stagioni in cui ho costantemente migliorato i miei risultati di gioco nell'ultima stagione conclusa ho registrato dei risultati leggermente peggiori rispetto alla stagione precedente.
Nel Frontier Format ho concluso la stagione nella lega Gold I, al 491° posto nella Gold Leaderboard con un punteggio di rating = 3040.
Nella stagione ancora precedente avevo ottenuto un punteggio di rating migliore e anche un piazzamento migliore nella leaderboard stagionale.
Un obiettivo stagionale non raggiunto è un nuovo obiettivo da raggiungere e inizio la nuova stagione in modo molto positivo e fiducioso perchè di recente ho fatto dei buoni progressi nell'upgrade delle carte del set Foundation.
Il mio obiettivo di breve termine nel Frontier Format è di avere tutti gli evocatori almeno al livello 3.
Ho tre evocatori su cinque al livello tre e ho quasi raggiunto questo mio obiettivo.
I miei progressi nel potenziamento delle carte
Il 21 ottobre c'è stato il rilascio delle nuove Reward Cards (Conclave Arcana).

Per quanto riguarda i Rarity Draws acquistabili tramite i Glint ho scelto di seguire la stessa strategia che ho seguito per le Rebellion Reward cards:
- in ogni stagione acquisto i rarity draws partendo dai Common Draws
- quando completo il batch 1 passo all'acquisto dei rarity draws di rarità maggiore.
Grazie alle mie ricompense di gioco e stagionali in GLINT oggi ho utilizzato:
- 100800 GLINT per acquistare 336 Common Draw.

Su 336 Common Draw aperti ho trovato 1 carta Gold Foil.
La probabilità di trovare una carta Gold Foil nei Rarity draws è 1%.
In base a questa probabilità sono stato sfortunato perchè avrei dovuto trovarne almeno tre di carte gold foil ma la probabilità non è certezza e la fortuna e la sfortuna spesso si conpensanon nel medio-lungo periodo.
Le carte Regular Foil sono Soulbound mentre le carte Gold Foil sono immediatamente trasferibili o vendibili.
Ho messo in vendita la carta gold che ho trovato oggi con l'obiettivo di acquistare altre carte.
Con le carte che ho trovato nei 336 Common Draw ho potuto fare l'upgrade del livello di 10 Conclave Arcana Reward cards di tipo comune.
Le carte reward comuni hanno ancora un livello troppo basso per essermi utili in battaglia perchè ho carte di livello più alto che hanno statistiche migliori ma alcune già le posso utilizzare in battaglie che hanno precise rulesets.
Ad esempio la carta Magmaforged di livello 5 può essermi utile nelle battaglie con la regola Going to Distance e anche nelle battaglie in cui utilizzo carte con l'abilità sneak e i mana a dispozione sono pochi.
Le carte Phlegmor, Palimpsest Prophet e Ironwing Juggernaut sono delle valide scelte nelle battaglie con la regola Little League.
Husk Of The Hunter di livello 3 è una carta particolarmente utile nelle battaglie con la ruleset Going the Distance perchè ha l'abilità Headwinds.
Con l'upgrade dal livello 4 al livello 5 ha acquisito un altro punto di attacco e sarà ancora più utile nelle battaglie per me.
Anche Stonebind Matron di livello 5 potrebbe essermi utile in alcune battaglie in particolare grazie all'abilità Triage che mi piace utilizzare in combinazione con carte con l'abilità Taunt posizionate nelle ultime posizioni.
E' proprio quello che ho fatto oggi in una battaglia perchè ho utilizzato Stonebind Matron di livello 5 in combinazione con Silverleaf Mage.
Insieme a Stonebind Matron ho utilizzato anche Thunderhoop Nomad per avere due carte con l'abilità Triage in modo da aumentare ancora di più la rigenerazione dei punti vita di Silverleaf Mage.
La mia strategia ha funzionato perchè Silverleaf Mage ha attirato la maggior parte degli attacchi avversari riuscendo a terminare la battaglia con 11 punti vita.
Ieri ho anche noleggiato un nuovo evocatore: Chuul Jujinchi di livello 8
Spenderò 74.85 DEC al giorno ma avrò una opzione di scelta in più soprattutto nelle battaglie in cui avrò pochi mana a disposizione.
I miei obiettivi per la stagione 171
I miei nuovi obiettivi stagionali saranno:
- terminare la stagione nella lega Diamond III nel Modern Format
- migliorare i risultati di gioco (rating e win rate) nel Frontier Format
- giocare almeno un torneo
