Great Product馃憣but Business is Slow!

A warning a friend gave me:
If your business fails, and you've neglected advertising, you only have yourself to blame!
Harsh words, but a reality.
You could have the best product, but if you've not marketed it properly, you could likely be in for failure. Many say word of mouth is the best advert, but you first need to build up a clientele. How? By advertising on the right platform.
I'm not into marketing, but I used common sense, and it worked.
We have had a big asset, a lovely garden cottage. Rather than having permanent tenants, we went the Airbnb route back in 2015. It worked out better than expected, till a local B&B kindly鈿狅笍 warned me that I needed a business license from our municipality, plus a whole lot more, or I could face a hefty fine! We were, at that stage, running an illegal B&B in the eyes of our local authority. We realized that this could become a real business, so we got the necessary approvals.
We, however, had to put ourselves on the map, so I set up a Google Business profile.
The annual fees set out by the compulsory tourism bodies are minimal and come with great benefits. There are many opportunities to network with others in the tourism industry, and from time to time, some offer excellent marketing campaigns, often at very little or even no cost.
Seeing our B&B in a glossy tourism brochure for the first time was a big thrill, and sent many new guests our way.
Instagram and Facebook ads helped us grow our client base. Word-of-mouth advertising kicked in right at the outset as our quaint hidden gem charmed guests.
While those were the right platforms for our business, it would certainly be a waste of resources for others!

What got me going on this topic was a comment by @sanjeevm in my previous , comparing amateur cell phone photography vs those taken by a professional for marketing.
Today you can do very little without advertisement...
Yes, you cannot sell anything without advertising, whether it's a product or a service.
That got me thinking, as many of us do, how can we successfully promote Hive to the world?
One-on-one discussion works well, even if it's merely to share what Hive is all about. My friends know just how passionate I am about my blogging journey here.
I've tried group discussions, but as soon as some hear the word Crypto, their eyes start darting around, and they suddenly disperse. It's as if I'm trying to lure them into some dubious scheme!
My friend @artywink was active and should be back soon after a long hiatus - life happened!
Many show interest, and two friends are very keen, but need a guiding hand to get going.
I make a habit of sharing some of my posts on Facebook, and friends love reading it. Some have asked me to tell them more.
At least it's getting the word out, but it's not enough!.
Hivers come and go; some are the pillars of our platform, a constant presence, and here for the long run. Others shine, and then disappear, but many eventually return to the fold!
What are your thoughts on the topic of onboarding new Hivers, and what do you see as the best strategy to do this?
Hive for sure is a great product platform, but it's up to us to work towards making our business grow!
