A phone case for my husband (Eng / Span)

Happy love and friendship day to all my beautiful people of this beautiful community. As you know the history of this day is different, however in many countries we celebrate it by showing our affection and love to the people we love the most, through gifts or just going for a walk.

In this case I wanted to give a little something to my husband. My beloved, partner, friend, counselor and many other names he has earned. I have
I have spent all week thinking about what to get him? because my God, how difficult it is to give a man. I wanted to give him something other than a pair of pants or a shirt.

Searching through my things, having the material, my head was already hurting from so much thinking, until I came up with the brilliant idea of making a case for my husband's phone. I started to make it on Wednesday at eight o'clock in the evening, despite my household chores, I finished it the next day, that is to say on Thursday at 5 o'clock in the afternoon.

Como saben la historia de este día es diferente, sin embargo en muchos países lo celebramos como el día del amor y la amistad. Demostramos nuestro afecto y cariño a las personas que más queremos, a través de regalos o simplemente saliendo a pasear.

En este caso quería regalarle un detalle a mi marido. Mi amado, compañero, amigo, consejero y muchos otros apodos que se ha ganado. Me he
Pasado toda la semana pensando que regalarle... porque Dios mío que difícil es regalarle a un hombre. Quería regalarle algo más que un pantalón o una camisa.

Buscando entre mis cosas, teniendo el material, ya me dolía la cabeza de tanto pensar, hasta que se me ocurrió la brillante idea de hacer una funda para el móvil de mi marido. Empecé a hacerla el miércoles a las ocho de la tarde, a pesar de mis quehaceres domésticos, la terminé al día siguiente, es decir el jueves a las cinco de la tarde.

Step by step
Paso a paso

I started by placing the phone inside the cardboard, then folded it to get the width of the case.

Empecé colocando el teléfono dentro del cartón y luego lo doblé para obtener el ancho de la funda.

I proceeded to measure the cardboard to have an exact measurement of 18cm long. From there I cut with the paper cutting scissors, giving a semi-circular shape at the ends of the mold.

Procedí a medir el cartón para tener una medida exacta de 18cm de largo. A partir de ahí corté con las tijeras de cortar papel, dando una forma semicircular en los extremos del molde.

Next I faced the two layers of the micro peach fabric. I placed the mold and cut leaving a 1 cm seam allowance. Pin all the way around the edge, hand sew leaving a 13 cm wide opening, which allowed me to insert my hand to make seams later.

A continuación enfrenté las dos capas de la tela micro melocotón. Coloqué el molde y corté dejando un margen de costura de 1 cm. Prendí con alfileres todo el borde, cosí a mano dejando una abertura de 13 cm de ancho, lo que me permitió introducir la mano para hacer costuras más tarde.

After stitching all around the edge, I made some cuts which, when the fabric was turned over, gave the case its firmness.

Después de coser todo el borde, hice unos picos que, al dar la vuelta a la tela, daban firmeza a la funda.

Once I introduced the cardboard mold inside the cover, I introduced my hand to adjust with pins a plastic square of 10cm wide by 10cm long, the magic clasp of 3cm long by 2cm wide. From there I sewed the seam, leaving an opening in the plastic.

Una vez introducido el molde de cartón dentro de la funda, introduje la mano para ajustar con alfileres un cuadrado de plástico de 10cm de ancho por 10cm de largo, el broche mágico de 3cm de largo por 2cm de ancho. A partir de ahí cosí la costura, dejando una abertura en el plástico.

I immediately closed the 13cm opening.

Inmediatamente cerré la abertura de 13 cm.

At this stage I had a lot of difficulty, since I don't know how to embroider, I didn't have the right materials for this detail, however, love can do anything. I cut the phrase, pinned it and sewed it by hand.

En esta etapa tuve muchas dificultades, ya que no sé bordar, no tenía los materiales adecuados para este detalle, sin embargo, el amor todo lo puede. Corté la frase, la prendí con alfileres y la cosí a mano.

I am very happy to have given this gift to my husband, even though it is my first time on this trip, I enjoyed it. I want to see his astonished face when I give him his gift. I hope you liked my post. The photos are my own, some of them were edited in Canva.
