This weekend was one of the most fun and memorable days I’ve had in a long time. Yesterday, I spent the whole day enjoying the snow at a ski resort here in China, and it honestly felt like a little winter escape. Even though it was cold, the excitement made everything warm and light. It was the kind of day where you just enjoy the moment and forget about stress for a while.

When we arrived at the place, the view already amazed me. Everywhere I looked, there was white snow covering the ground, the slopes, and the hills in the distance. The sun was shining so brightly, making the snow sparkle like tiny crystals. It didn’t feel real at first. I kept looking around, taking in the scenery, feeling happy that I got to experience this.

We wore full ski outfits, including helmets and goggles, and it felt fun to dress up like that. The gear was bulky but warm, and I actually liked the feeling of being ready to explore the snow. The cold air touched my face, but it wasn’t uncomfortable it just made me feel more alive.

One of the first things I did was try to take pictures. The place was so beautiful that every spot looked like a perfect photo area. I held my camera and took random shots of the view, the sky, the snowy slopes, and of course, some pictures of myself. I wanted to remember everything, even the small details. My friend and I also took selfies together, making cute poses with our helmets and goggles. We laughed a lot because the goggles made our faces look funny, but the pictures still turned out nice.

After walking around a bit, I got hungry and we stopped to eat. I had a plate of rice and what looked like spicy stir-fried food. Eating warm food while sitting in a snowy place felt comforting. The tables were outside, but the sun made the cold easier to handle. I sat there smiling, enjoying my meal, and feeling grateful for the experience.

We also watched other people skiing and snowboarding. Some were really good and moved so fast, while others fell and laughed it off. The whole place had this lively and happy atmosphere. People were taking pictures, enjoying the snow, and just having a great time.

Of course, I also played with the snow myself. I sat down on the ground, stretched my legs out, and felt the snow with my gloves. It was soft and cold. I even scooped some up with my hands and just enjoyed the feeling of it. I tried sliding a little, fell a couple of times, and laughed at myself. But honestly, it didn’t matter because it was all part of the fun.

There was one moment that really stood out to me. I sat on the snow with the sun shining behind me, and everything looked so peaceful. The mountains in the background made the view feel like a painting. I just sat there, breathing the cold air, taking it all in. It was a quiet and calm moment, something I didn’t know I needed.

The ski resort had many people, but it never felt too crowded. There were families, couples, kids in colorful outfits, and groups of friends just like us. I loved watching everyone enjoy their time. It made the place feel warm despite the cold weather.

Before leaving, we took more pictures, of course. Pictures of the scenery, the lifts, the snow-covered hills, and more poses of us sitting or standing in the snow. My gloves were already wet and cold, but I still wanted to take more photos because everything looked beautiful.

By the time we went home, I felt tired but in a good way. My body was cold but my heart was warm. Yesterday was simple but special. It reminded me how nice it is to take a break, go outside, and enjoy something new. The snow, the view, the food, and the laughter all of it made the day unforgettable.

This weekend will stay in my memory for a long time, and I’m happy I got to experience this winter adventure here in China.
