This is my entry for the weekly photo contest organized by @friendlymoose.
I was taking a family walk with my family around Novi Sad and Petrovaradin. Of course, the Petrovaradin Fortress was an unavoidable part.
Of course, there is a lot of old architecture and many buildings in the Baroque style to take pictures of.
But I decided on the Clock on the Fortress.
That clock is also one of the symbols of the city of Novi Sad itself.

In 1748, Novi Sad received, that is, bought privileges. Maria Theresa, as Empress of Austria, then gave her faithful, loyal and generous subjects a clock tower. That clock tower would not have had any significance if the citizens of Novi Sad had not been able to use it at that time. The large hand shows the hours, and the small hand shows the minutes. Because the hours were more dominant, they were more important. So they arranged for the clock to go off practically every time, which means in each hour 4 times for 15 minutes and when it goes off the fourth time for 15 minutes, then the whole clock goes off. How many times is it, how many times it erupts. In the same way, as many bells as there are bells, so many times one bell rings, and phonetically the citizens could tell the difference and whoever followed it could know exactly what time it was.
I had to learn this too because I thought the big hand showed the hours so that ships could see the exact time and that it served as a kind of lighthouse.

And the drunk clock got its name because its movement changes depending on the temperature – it slows down when it's cold and speeds up when it's hot, although today it is considered to tell time accurately.I'm also drunk from this watch :)
