I have to admit that we use a lot of herbs.
Of course, many plants are both herbs and medicinal.
So that division is sometimes difficult.
But let's try it.

Of the herbs, dill is in first place.
Without which there is no soup here in Vojvodina.
We love the smell and taste of dill, and it also has medicinal properties.
At this time of year, dill has already bloomed and scattered seeds around the garden. In my house, it grows as a wild plant.
Waiting for spring and for it to sprout again, we freeze dill in freezer containers. That way it preserves its taste and smell.

Parsley is also a spice herb for us.
We use the leaves to add to soups and stews.
We also freeze the leaves like dill in the same way.
And you can dry the leaves for tea because it is also a medicinal herb.
The parsley fruit itself is added to soups, along with carrots.
We buy some herbs like oregano, bay leaf, saffron... .
Some herbs are not suited to the climate here and some need a greenhouse.
So I hope that next season a greenhouse will be added to our garden, and that the number of plants will increase.
There is, of course, hot pepper, which they dry and grind, although I prefer it fresh or we can taste it in a jar.

One of our favorite herbs is basil.
We have both green and purple.
We love it in salads, as an addition to dishes. It is also a medicinal plant.Since it is extremely healthy and has a pleasant taste, we eat it directly from the plant. Whenever we pass by, we pick a leaf, it comes to us as a snack.

Mint and sage are both medicinal and spicy
Although both have an intense smell and taste. So who likes it
I like to add a few mint leaves to a salad sometimes.

How can I forget onions, all types of onions Black, white, silver, leek, red onion...
It is used as an addition to dishes, salads , there are many combinations.

From my favorite recipes, here's a quick one for a salad.
Sweet pepper of any kind, a little tomato, a little purslane (ice grass), and basil.
Chop it all finely, add olive or other oil you like, salt if desired, stir and enjoy.

Thanks for reading.
Until next time.
Stay healthy.
