El día de hoy quiero compartir con ustedes, la confección de una linda bata para dormir en tela de rib estampada con un diseño muy hermoso de gatitos, esta es para obsequiársela a mi hermana que pronto será operada y quiero que luzca muy bonita para cuando salga del quirófano, acompáñame y te comparto el paso a paso:

Today I want to share with you how to make a cute nightgown from printed ribbed fabric with a beautiful kitten design. This is a gift for my sister, who will soon be having surgery, and I want her to look her best when she comes out of the operating room. Join me as I share the step-by-step instructions:

Hace poco mi hermana me notificó que tenían que operarla, así que como costurera inmediatamente pensé en comprar una linda tela para hacerle una bata y obsequiársela, ella y yo somos amantes a los gatos y todo lo que tenga que ver con ellos, me fui a la tienda de tela y conseguí este lindo diseño, me encantó y sé que a ella le encantará, así que manos a la obra, aquí les dejo la lista de materiales a utilizar:

• 1m de tela rib
• tijeras
• cinta métrica
• máquina de coser

My sister recently told me she needed surgery, so as a seamstress, I immediately thought of buying some pretty fabric to make her a gown as a gift. She and I both love cats and everything cat-related. I went to the fabric store and found this lovely design. I loved it, and I know she'll love it too, so let's get started! Here's the list of materials you'll need:

• 1 meter of ribbed fabric
• Scissors
• Measuring tape
• Sewing machine

De esta tela compré 3 metros para hacer otras prendas más adelante, así que para comenzar la confección, voy a sacar algunas tiras para tenerlas y usarlas como sesgo, para el modelo voy a guiarme con una de mis batas, pero modificaré la parte superior, a mi hermana no le gustan de tirantes, ella también es un poco más delgada que yo, pero este tipo de prendas se usan holgadas, así que me guiaré por el tamaño de mi bata.

Vamos a confeccionar las dos partes juntas, así quedarán las medidas: marcaremos 9 cm de la orilla superior para el escote del cuello, luego marcamos 10 cm en diagonal bajando 3 cm, esto es para el hombro, ahora volvemos a las medidas del escote del cuello, en la orilla vamos a marcar 16 cm y vamos a hacer una semi curva uniendo con la línea donde marcamos 9 cm, para el escote de manga vamos a bajar 23 cm, igual hacemos una semi curva uniendo hasta donde nos quedó el hombro.

La figura de la bata la haré igual al modelo de la bata con la que me estoy guiando, esta de largo tiene un aproximado de 73 cm partiendo desde la línea del escote de manga y en la parte inferior tiene un ancho de 30 cm al doble, cortamos juntas ambas partes. Luego separamos la parte delantera de la de atrás y a la parte delantera para distinguirla en el escote del cuello le vamos a hacer el corte del cuello en V y en la parte de atrás lo podemos dejar redondo.

I bought 3 meters of this fabric to make other garments later, so to begin sewing, I'm going to cut some strips to use as bias tape. For the pattern, I'll use one of my robes as a guide, but I'll modify the top part. My sister doesn't like strapless robes; she's also a bit thinner than me, but these types of garments are meant to be loose-fitting, so I'll use the size of my robe as a reference.

We're going to sew both pieces together. Here are the measurements: we'll mark 9 cm from the top edge for the neckline, then mark 10 cm diagonally down 3 cm for the shoulder. Now, going back to the neckline measurements, we'll mark 16 cm from the edge and draw a semi-curve connecting it to the line where we marked 9 cm. For the sleeve neckline, we'll go down 23 cm and also draw a semi-curve connecting it to where we left the shoulder.

I'll make the robe pattern the same as the one I'm using as a guide. It's approximately 73 cm long, measured from the sleeve neckline, and 30 cm wide at the bottom (doubled). We'll cut both pieces together. Then we'll separate the front from the back. To distinguish the front neckline, we'll cut a V-neck, while the back neckline can be left round.

Una vez cortada comenzamos con las costuras, pasamos costura uniendo en los hombros, luego le colocamos sesgo doblado a mitad por todo el escote del cuello dándole la forma en V en la parte delantera, le paso overlock y luego refuerzo con costura recta.

Once cut, we begin with the seams, we sew joining at the shoulders, then we place bias tape folded in half all around the neckline giving it a V shape at the front, we overlock it and then reinforce it with a straight stitch.

Continuamos uniendo con costura por los lados y para finalizar hacemos el ruedo de aproximadamente 1cm de ancho, así ya está lista esta linda bata con diseño de gatitos

We continue sewing along the sides and finally make a hem approximately 1cm wide, and this cute kitten-designed robe is ready!
