Inspiring the Future

When young women come together to create and inspire change in society, their energy and determination are truly inspiring. I saw this up close recently at a women’s conference. The room was packed with young women, many of them still in school, who exuded a shared ambition to learn, to grow, to serve the world around them.
It was a lovely metaphor for the power and potential women wield to create a better, more equitable future. What impressed me most was their eagerness to acquire new skills and knowledge, driven by the potential to uplift their communities and themselves.
These girls are not passive passengers in the vehicle of progress; they are copilots, ready to chart new paths into the future. Their enthusiasm, combined with the eagerness to learn, is a force for good that can leave a lasting impact in their communities.
But to fulfil this potential we need the support of all of us. We have to create pathways for young women to learn the skills they need, provide them with the resources, and help them dream. Whatever the support looks like, it all makes a huge impact.
Looking forward, however, it is clear that investing in young women is an investment in the future of whole communities. We need to make a place for these changemakers in our communities. In partnership, let us unlock the immeasurable potential of young women and honour the difference they are making today, as well as the difference they will make in the years to come.
