There is no better thing than being out with your friends at night to explore new foods and night life. In the recent past, I was fortunate to experience an unforgettable night at a Japanese restaurant before paying a visit to some of the bars that are very vibrant and I cannot resist telling about the time of our evening.

At the time of the sunset, my friends and I met at a small Japanese restaurant, which offered a traditional experience of eating. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, and the appearance of the place included wooden decoration, paper lanterns, and gentle lights which helped to create the right mood of our evening. The good smelling grilled meats and fresh sushi were in the air and this immediately triggered our hunger.

Our gustatory experience began with a taste of sushi and sashimi. The special platter of the chef had a variety of well-prepared and juicy-looking rolls. Freshness of the fish was felt and we did not waste any bite. My own personal favorite was the spicy tuna roll, which was just the right amount of heat with a touch of creaminess of the avocado.

Our next choice was to have an experience of izakaya-style dish. The yakitori (skewered grilled chicken) was very popular, seasoned to taste using a savory glaze. Another thing we had was gyoza which were very crispy with a stuffing of pork and vegetables. Every dish was a wonderful surprise and we ended up sharing and trying all of it and it was a very communal experience.

To have alcohol with our meal we ordered sake and Japanese beer. Our dishes went well with the sake, which was smoothly and rich in flavor and served warm. We lifted our glasses to friendship and the good food and the warmth of the evening settled on us.

Our good dinner was followed by a decision to carry on the night in bars around. The initial destination was a fashionable cocktail bar that had innovative beverages. The mood was energetic, and both locals and tourists were cheerful with the energetic energy. We got ourselves a round of signature cocktails, and I decided to get a yuzu mojito which is a twist to the original that perfectly aligned with the tropical feel of the evening.

There we went on to a bar with live music as the night went by. The band was superb, and it was playing a combination of high morale songs that left everyone dancing. We were not able to resist as well, and the laughter and joy were becoming the rulers of the dance floor in no time. An enjoyable combination of music, drink and friends made this an evening to remember.

Night time is not complete without dessert and hence we headed to a local cafe that serves matcha desserts. We had a bowl of mochi ice cream and a matcha cheesecake, the ideal sweet dishes to take the night to a good finish. The ice cream was rich in flavour and the matcha was mixed up with creamy texture that left us all content and pleased.

The joy of good food and good company came back to us as we had a wonderful night out; the Japanese food was delicious and the bar experiences were exciting. It does not matter whether you are savoring sushi, drinking cocktails or even dancing all night long, it is something extra to share these experiences with friends. On our way out of the final bar, we agreed to repeat it sometime in the near future because at night such experiences are what remained in our memories. Gather your friends, taste new places to eat and get the good times rolling!
