Montemurlo the cemetery and the surrounding countryside.(ENG/ESP)

Here I am again with a post about one of my trips, two days ago I took you with me to the ancient parish church of Montemurlo, now we are still in Montemurlo and I take you with me both in the surrounding countryside and in the cemetery near the ancient fortress where we went to bring flowers to my husband's father and brother, both buried there. The road to the cemetery winds from the main city to a hill and is a very beautiful road not only because it passes through the main square of the town with its particular buildings and the series of simple and elegant houses that are very beautiful to see but also because it passes through delightful green fields and verdant hills, in the town before leaving for the cemetery we also stopped at a festival that turned out to be quite disappointing, with few tables and little and expensive food, a real shame because Montemurlo has many spacious squares where many large festivals could be held at low costs. Anyway, after a quick tour of the festival we went up towards the cemetery crossing fields and wooded areas that hp discovered are full of paths that would be really nice to explore, it is an area where many go trekking and I am not surprised here the nature is truly magnificent.

Buenos días amigos, ¿cómo están? Aquí estoy de nuevo con un post sobre uno de mis pequeños viajes, hace dos días os llevé conmigo a la antigua iglesia parroquial de Montemurlo, ahora seguimos en Montemurlo y os llevo conmigo tanto al campo circundante como al cementerio cerca de la antigua fortaleza donde fuimos a llevar flores al padre y al hermano de mi marido, ambos enterrados allí. El camino hacia el cementerio serpentea desde el pueblo principal hasta una pequeña colina y es un camino muy hermoso no solo porque pasa por la plaza principal del pueblo con sus particulares edificios y la serie de casas sencillas y elegantes que son muy hermosas de ver sino también porque pasa por deliciosos campos verdes y colinas verdes. En el pueblo antes de salir hacia el cementerio también paramos en un festival que sin embargo resultó bastante decepcionante, con pocas mesas y comida escasa y cara, una verdadera lástima porque Montemurlo tiene muchas plazas espaciosas donde se podrían celebrar muchos festivales grandes y de bajo coste. En fin, después de un rápido recorrido por el festival subimos hacia el cementerio atravesando campos y zonas boscosas que descubrí que están llenas de senderos que sería realmente bonito explorar, es una zona donde muchos hacen trekking y no me sorprende que aquí la naturaleza sea realmente magnífica.

Then we went to the cemetery, being Sunday it was full of people to say goodbye to deceased relatives, although they are not happy places I have always been fascinated by cemeteries especially the ancient ones, the one of the fortress is not very old but it is still a cemetery that is very well done and clean, it is on top of the hill so it overlooks the valley thus giving the place a view and a quiet, peaceful and healthy air. The cemetery is quite large made on several floors with many simple tombstones and made with clean lines but also with some sporadic chapels of wealthier people. In the cemetery there is also a beautiful monument statue dedicated to the numerous fallen in war during the Second World War which claimed many victims here in Tuscany especially in the hilly areas. There are also tombs dedicated to police officers that are more elaborate than the others. It is a simple but very beautiful cemetery in a truly peaceful area, here surely those who rest rest in peace. We then continued our trip to other places on the Montemurlo hill which I will talk about shortly, I am truly amazed at how many beautiful places this area hides that I thought was much less interesting and poor in nature instead you just have to leave the city center and you find very rich green and hilly areas, a truly pleasant discovery!

Luego fuimos al cementerio, ya que era domingo y estaba lleno de gente saludando a sus familiares fallecidos. Aunque no son lugares alegres, siempre me han fascinado los cementerios, especialmente los antiguos. El de la fortaleza no es muy antiguo pero sigue siendo un cementerio muy bien hecho y limpio. Esta en lo alto de la colina por lo que domina el valle, dándole al lugar una vista y aire tranquilo, pacífico y saludable. El cementerio es bastante grande, formado por varias plantas con numerosas lápidas sencillas de líneas limpias pero también con algunas capillas esporádicas de personas más adineradas. En el cementerio también hay una hermosa estatua-monumento dedicada a los numerosos caídos en la guerra durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial, que se cobró muchas víctimas aquí en Toscana, especialmente en las zonas montañosas. También hay tumbas dedicadas a agentes de policía que son más elaboradas que las demás. Es un cementerio sencillo pero muy bonito en una zona muy tranquila, aquí seguramente los que descansan descansan en paz. Luego continuamos nuestro viaje hacia otros lugares de la colina de Montemurlo de los que hablaré en breve, realmente estoy sorprendido de cuántos lugares hermosos esconde esta zona que pensaba que era mucho menos interesante y pobre en naturaleza, en cambio solo tienes que salir del centro de la ciudad y encuentras áreas verdes y montañosas muy ricas, un descubrimiento realmente agradable!
