They say that the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.

And in this case it was, with a helping hand of course.

We were out on the farm with the Nguni cattle and decided to make some friends.

Cattle are amazing creatures and once they get used to one, they will never forget your face. Especially when they are treated kindly. We are the same as humans, I think. They can also be trained and the movements of this herd are strictly controlled by a lone cattle herder. When I was a child, we even had dogs that controlled the sheep on our farm. In this case, we saw them sticking their heads through the fence to get to the green grass on the other side, and we decided to feed a few.
Come and see.

See how the wire of the fence tried to strangle this guy's throat.

I was up first, and they readily accepted my offerings.

Just a beautiful picture in the area to show you our wonderworld.

Of course, madam decided to also give it a try in order to show me that females can do things better than males :)

I mean, now who on earth kneels down to whisper sweet messages to a cow that is just interested in the food?

And then gently rub the cows forehead?

At last, she gave the cow a helping of hay.

Now look at that face, as she walks back to me smiling, as feeding anything is her life. So as if to say; Look you old bugger, I can do things ten times better than what you can.

Such is our life here, as we like to live and to let live. Kindness is an inborn thing, and whenever one allows it to influence an action, it normally brings with it great pleasure. Many studies have been made about free giving and the human connection, and the outcome of these studies invariably shows that humans can take great pleasure out of giving.
Even some great minds like Winston Churchill for instance, said that; You make a living by what you get, but you make a life by what you give.

So it is, and we have found this to be very true. The sad thing that we often encounter is jealousy and criticism. But we have gotten used to it over the years, although I have to admit at the beginning of Papillon, it used to affect us badly. It normally comes from people with their own agendas, as nobody likes to be shown up. Now, we just carry on regardless of what anyone says or thinks. Life goes on, and we have to respect each other.

I hope that you have enjoyed the pictures and the story.

And That's All Friends.
