So, we made it inside the high building.

This is a follow up of my post yesterday, as the journey continued.

My wife had the world at her feet on that high open balcony.

The restaurant was built on the top of the wine cellar floors below, and as you will see, it offered fantastic views from the west to the east. The sea at the west, and the farmlands at the east. It is called Chorus and they serve meals by an awarded chef. Very spacious with a lovely interior, and friendly staff. There is also an authentic Italian Cheese Bar restaurant on the lower slopes of the property, and you will really enjoy a visit to this wine estate.

The award winning restaurant was built on the Waterkloof Wine Estate, and if you want to read and see more about this prestigious wine estate, then don't hesitate to visit this safe link.

Finally, we arrived at the entrance to the restaurant and were welcomed by a friendly front line staff member, and we ordered two cappuccino coffees.

There are some lovely paintings inside and here below are two examples.

This one showed a bunch of fighting angels above the city and mountains of Cape Town.

Ah, we went outside onto the balcony, as I wanted to share the views with you.

Three views below of what it looked like towards the sea at the west. The sea is only 4 kilometers away from the wine estate.

And now I will show you some views toward the eastern side of the restaurant. All photos taken from the balcony.

And finally, some activity on the farm.

It was @fermentedphil and his fiancé @urban.scout that told us about the estate, after their visit. And so, we went out to visit the place, but we were only allowed to visit the cheese bar, as the road to the higher chorus restaurant was blocked due to renovations in progress. That was about 2 or 3 months ago. We were close to the area recently and so we decided to try a visit again. Fortunately, this time round everything was open.

Now the good news is that a staff member will arrange a tour of the actual wine cellars for us, and we are excited, as it is always nice to enter the heart of the wine estates. Lovely wine barrel stacks and big steel holding tanks all over the place. That's what we saw inside previous wine cellars, but I have a faint suspicion that this one will be different. So be it, and let's hope that we can make some new discoveries.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.
