Hello everyone 👋,
TGIF 🌟 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. It's another 24 hours to be grateful for as we get into the weekend. I have had a great day and as always glad you stopped by. Let's quickly take a look at how my day has been and also some of the stories doing the rounds. You know how we do it, come on💨.
So just like yesterday, I had a short morning session of a few rounds of brisk walking 👣 around the neighborhood 🌲. The morning breeze 🍃 was superb 💯 .
Next I was back indoors, where I rested for a while before logging into my emails and trending news of the day.
Locally the usual political shenanigans 😹 kept going and so did the election campaign rallies.
Globally, Ukraine and Russia reached a deal to facilitate the export of grains out of Ukrainian ports👏. This deal took place in Istanbul, overseen by UN sec general and Turkish president. It hopefully averts a hunger crisis. Across the pond in the US, former Trump aide Steve Bannon found guilty of being in contempt of Congress as he failed to appear before them😱. So will he be sentenced? let's wait and see.
Over in crypto land bitcoin still sideways, was at 23k but has dipped back to 22k. Let's keep watching as we head towards August.
I did settle down to some crypto analysis videos and also handled the cleaning chores of the day. Later in the afternoon, I stopped by the shopping center for some cooking groceries. Then I was back indoors for the usual nap 💤. A great nap that left me quite refreshed 💪. Next I continued watching some of the earlier videos and also news.
Trending in Brazil, police have been accused of brutality after 18 people were killed around the favelas 😢. Police claimed to have been flashing out gangs. Elsewhere in Sri Lanka, the protesters have remained put, saying they don't believe any change will be coming soon😱. Down under in Australia, worry as a new omicron sub variant is causing increased hospitalization 😨.
Anyways, as the evening set in, I had my ginger tea ☕ and then stepped out for the sunset 🌇☀️🌅 walk. As always slow paced enjoying the cool evening breeze 🍃.
