Hello everyone π»,
Happy Thursday π and a very warm welcome to my report. It's been another ordinary day stepping it out and it's now time to slow down and report on how my day went. Of course not forgetting the trending stories that caught my eye π.
So without much further ado let's take it away π¨.
So I began my day with a brisk walk around the neighborhood. Pretty cloudy and windy as I made my way around.
It was a little cooler compared to yesterday.
Later on after about 20 or so minutes, I was back indoors getting on with the usual house chores.
Next I looked at some of the trending stories and also watched a bit of you tube and Twitter.
In the evening it was still a little cloudy as I left for my sunset π walk. Though the sun shot through say around 4pm to 5pm. Good thing it didn't rain.
I made it back safe and sound and have been watching the news and just relaxingπΉ.
So let's proceed to look at some of the trending stories.
Starting off in Gaza, the mass murder went on with 26 Palestinians killed in Israeli airstrikes, including some at 'humanitarian' food distribution centresπΏ. The total number of Palestinians dead has hit 61,722 excluding thousands that are still missing probably still under the unmovable rubbleπ.
There were also five more deaths from the ongoing starvation.
More than 100 NGO's say their aid trucks have been bloacked by Israel as they try to get aid into Gazaπ.
Meanwhile, Mossad chief,David Barnea, is in Qatar to try and revive Gaza peace talks.
In the other war, The UAE has mediated another prisoner swap between Russia and Ukraine at the Belarus border. 84 men on each side for a total of 168.
Not far off, Ukrainian president Zelensky was in London meeting PM Keir Starmer after his meeting with German Chancellor yesterday.
Yesterday in Berlin, Zelensky held a virtual meeting with Trump and other European leaders. European Allies have pledged $1.5 billion to help Ukraine purchase US arms.
Hopefully, they won't need the arms if tomorrow's meeting between Trump and Putin delivers a breakthrough in the Russian invasion.
Speaking of Trump, he has said that there will be a second meeting with Putin and Ukrainian president, Zelensky as he continues to push for a total ceasefire.
Some interesting news from scientific world as AI invents antibiotics that could kill superbugs gonorrhoea and MRSA. The two compounds still need years of refinement and clinical trials before they could be prescribed. But the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) team behind it say AI could start a "second golden age" in antibiotic discovery. Quite encouragingπ―.
So that was Thursday and I thank you for reading. Let's hook up tomorrow on a high five Friday as we look forward to the weekend.
Stay safe, take care and good bye β€οΈ. Hakuna Matata π»
