Hello and Welcome back to my blog!

This Week's Contest theme by the Gaming Photography community is "Wallpaper worth Pictures" and it's perfect for me as I take a lot of pictures in theHunter: Call of the Wild. At this point, I think I play the game more to enjoy the graphics and locations, rather than hunting which speaks volumes of how good I think this game is in terms of replicating nature and natural habitats from all over the world.
I have been collecting a lot of pictures and many of them I have shared in my blogs but not all and this challenge is a great idea to showcase some of those beautiful shots that are perfect for my desktop wallpaper. I love landscape pictures as my wallpaper so here are the best of the bunch worth putting on my desktop.

Vurhongha Savannah has some rough and dry plains, which you can see from the vegetation and the trees. Love this reserve for hunting though, a lot of unique species.

A lake situated way up north at higher plains in Silver Ridge Peak. Not much activity here so I love the calm water and the mountains in the background.

A spooky, abandoned fishing village in Medved-Tiaga. Perfect location to take some interesting pictures.

The Crimson Plains of Yukon Valley Reserve is one of my best places from the entire game. So so beautiful!

It is such a colorfest. Look at all the red, yellow, blue and white in this picture. Isn't it amazing? Did you know that orange and blue are complementary colours and they make any composition look beautiful? Love it!

I think I have shared a similar photo before from the same location. The Layton Lake district has some of the best lakes and high grasses. The mountain range in the background makes it a complete picture.

Let's go back to Vurhonga Savannah and enjoy the shade of those big trees (Baobak?). I used them to get a satisfying composition.

Did I say anything about the sunsets and sunrises here? They are beautiful, especially when it is overcast conditions or a storm is approaching. Love the oranges in this map. An expert painter can paint the whole image with just one colour, that's how dominant the orange is in this picture.

Sunrises in Layton Lake District are no less beautiful. The sun is about to rise from behind the peak and there is still a lot of mist in the air which makes this shot so interesting for me.

I have an obsession with this peak in the Silver Ridge Peaks map and climbed it recently too. This is the highest climbable peak here and it looks gorgeous during sunrises and sunsets, especially when there are some clouds to reflect that beautiful orange light.

This is the highest watch tower in Silver Ridge Peaks and its locations and design make for an interesting composition. Fortunately, the light was perfectly what I wanted it to be.

This one is an old one. It is probably one of my favourite pictures from the game. Sheru's pose, the clouds, the reflection of trees on the water and so many more things came together perfectly for this one. I will use it as my wallpaper and it looks great! What do you think?

The sunset in the Cuatro Colinas Reserve was beautiful and gave me this masterpiece. I wished it was taken at ultra graphics but my system is not that powerful so you can see some noise in the grasses.

The long grasses in the plains of Savannah make a good place to hide and stalk prey. But they can serve as leading lines in your compositions too.

This interesting rock formation is a famous site in the Layton Lakes district. These kind of weird rocks exists in nature all over the world and they make the perfect subject for me.

Sheru loves to photobomb my shots. You can see him just messing up a beautiful composition. But I still loved this shot. In hindsight, if Sheru was on the right side moving towards the middle it would be a great shot. I will recreate this shot someday!
There are so many of left too, but I don't want to overwhelm all of you. I loved all of these and for me, they can serve as desktop wallpapers any day. I love landscapes and nature shots anyway!
Let me know which one is your favourite. Mine is #12! (And feel free to use any of the shots in any way you want!)
Thanks for reading...
Until next hunt...
