Descending and Intoxicated, Poetry and AI Art Showcase

Descending
shrouded in greying cumulus
I observe, celebrate, and weep
below
what
has
come
is laid out
a menagerie
of all things
imaginable
sand, glass, rock and soil
silt and mud, take measure
and sort
clumsily-moulded
clay feet descend
upon once bright-ideas
reverse-engineering
to rust and brass
go quick look up
before the rungs somewhere
dissolve there is a light
my footsteps brand creation
shimmering, shining, glinting
dulled, decayed, and dim
faded to black
take measure and sort
I take measure and sort
I observe, celebrate, and weep
Saplings
saplings
withstand
storms
Grown Too Big
upon my clavicle
rests blossoms
lace and string
my breathe caught up
in ribbons and corsets
inheritance, generations
a magnolia for a blushing bride
jewels, cameos, and baubles
sewn in a grey-rosé taffeta hem
object of desire
a butterfly that must
be pinned down
a mind grown
too big
for her petticoats
a thief in the night
a voice that must
take to hushed
tones
a bloom that must produce seed
Loud Plumes
loud plumes
pretty song
promotion to lover boy
tenured to nest minder

Intoxicated by Scent
within the folds
shadow holds supremacy
hue is distorted
the prismatic muted
the minute
earthbound pollinator
wingless, short-sighted
immersed in scent
fumbles by feel
there is no need
to differentiate shades
register chromatic outliers
the world is small
life is short
purpose, one-dimensional
reproduce, keep it all going
abstraction and complexity
only adds difficulty
distraction
threat
the Lilliputians
see in broad strokes
restrain giants
tie down those
who would fly
belittle those
that reveal perspective
would uncover
the bigger picture
the colony is sustained
within the folds
in shadow
intoxicated by scent
Called to Account
a crow short on sticks
and scratch
picks, withdraws
from my locks
Grey Morn'
rain fall
soil doused
joins the stream
into my coffee cup
fog lifts
