Share My Way
Grace
my sister. born upon
the same planetary disk
given our own orbits
destined for collision
for antediluvian eons, we
practiced our own Way
brushed past each other
wobbled in recognition
my beloved, space mate
my darling, fair Theia
we were conceived in
unison, doomed to reunite
you forced to isolation, breathless
whereas I would be feted
celebrated with life
apples, serpents, gates
laurels of haloes, emperors
an anointed Messiah, fated angels
conquistadors …
I claim the glory
but you always
ma chère sœur
luminescent Luna
you possess
the grace

[Orchid Praying Mantis]
orchid praying
mantis
a tough customer
in the perfume aisle

Aqueous
the wick is lit
smouldering in the wet
cinders without flames
warmth is constant
but syncopated
energizing atmosphere
vitalizing electrons
charming creation
to waltz and sway
among the earthen
elemental and molecular
the blanket thickens
but does not smother
unity and symbioses
diversity, evolution
protected, sustained
the dance, the ritual
primeval
persists within the mother
her life blood
aqueous
[My Mind]
my mind
minute
vast enough
to conceive
a cosmos
you and me
Mutated Collagen
mutated collagen micro-abrades
melanin glitches, nightmare of nuance
science explains natural wonders
in code and repetition
emotionless messengers
economical inheritance
skips, deletion, substitution
magic in existence
romance in the movement
overshadowed by techno
Frankenstein in a lab-coat and horn-rims
over-explaining, denaturing
inserting the nightmare
of nuance
algorithmically meddling
with my poetic mojo
from the silicone sterilization
simulations in paler heights
I’ll pause; give a minute
to unriddle the binary
of that not-so veiled slight
wait …
I’m lost in explaining
rhymed there for a bit
demystifying, taking aim
nit-picking, complaining
devaluing my basket-weavers
let me start again
what I meant to say
was ….
I love the way your
eyelashes brush against
the freckles on your cheeks
Waves, Particles
waves, particles
bloom, stem
leaves, fingers
perception
from segmentation
Penance Beads
under starry, nebula skies
you drank from my fountain
smoothed your sandpaper throat
with its regenerative waters
banqueted on my bounty
berries, bread, and wine
a fee you felt must be paid
in return recycled vistas
tokens of re-used beads
I told you I wanted only love
to bathe with you in the sun
you revealed your hurts
dried your tears on my hem
grew strong; came to know
yourself; toyed with loving
me
more penance beads
and reused vistas
claiming the healing balm
when breaking my heart
under starry, nebula skies
you drank from my fountain
but I was never worthy enough
to be seen under the sun
to be loved
I will be loved
I will be seen
I am worthy
I am enough
Charged Breath
charged breath
diaphanous
shades
Aurora’s allure
lies in a dropped veil
