From Roosters to Ringtones: How Technology Runs My Day

Technology has transformed our lives so much that we don't even consider how much expertise we have. There's bound to be something in our daily routine that's connected to technology. For example, if we talk about myself, I need my smartphone to wake up in the morning, and then the alarm goes off. After that, I use that smartphone to follow my daily routine. I check emails. I check messages. So, it is a habit that I follow early in the morning because it is important for me. I am so dependent on technology that I wake up in the morning because of it, and I also work with it. So, technology is so important in our lives.

If we talk about it further, whatever we're working on, even laptops, is technologically advanced. Our daily routines are filled with technology. Whether it's working in the office, studying, or anything else, whether it's ordering food or something that takes ten minutes, I do everything on my phone. It's so easy for me that I don't even need to put in any effort, and technology has truly made that happen. In the past, it used to be so difficult for us to communicate with each other. But today, real-time video calls and phone calls allow us to talk to people in other countries and continents. This has made everything so much easier for us, and we may not have given it much importance. But technology has made our lives so much better and ensured that we never look back.
My father told me a story about his village, where there was only one telephone. In his time, the entire village had to wait in line just to talk to someone. In those days, talking was a big deal, but in today's times, even talking is a small thing. We have such advanced technology that we think talking is no big deal, but back then, it was a big deal. There were only two TVs in the house, which only ran from 8 to 10 pm. You can imagine how difficult all this was in the days of the listless, so how did people get through their days? Today's youth spend their time scrolling through social media apps like Facebook and Instagram. But in Daman, people actually worked hard, and they are so successful because they had time but no phones. In today's times, phones have even become a source of destruction.

If I were to consider my education from a first-person perspective, all my classes, even when I'm not in person, are online. If I'm preparing for a course, that's also online. If I need study material and I can't find it or I don't feel like writing, I need it by text. I go to PT and get it all out, and I can easily access it, and I can print it directly. So, all this is so easy; it wasn't possible before. When I remember when I was a kid, if I got stuck on something, I'd have to open Google, go to a calculator, and enter a problem, and the answer would pop up. It's become much easier these days. Life wasn't so easy in the past, and if you got lost in something, you'd have to wait a day. The next day, there were so many interruptions in treatment that we didn't have to wait so long.
If I talk to other prospects, whether they're traveling or going anywhere, technology helps them immensely. Whether it's booking tickets or using GPS, a live location mapping system, I get all this from technology. I never get stuck. Earlier, we had to say, "Okay, let's take a left from here, take a left from here, and remember to turn right here, and remember to return." Technology doesn't require us to do anything. It provides a map. If we have to go in the direction of the map, we can reach it. It has made things so easy. Many people face the problem of not remembering the route and getting lost. That's why we always keep a map on our phone. Whenever we need something, we open the map and see where we want to go. This has made it very easy. Whether it's going to any place or traveling anywhere, even if we're talking about traveling out of the country, there are many great things there too. We can even book hotels from here. You can book plane tickets and all the guides from here and go there, so there will be no problem.
Lastly, I would like to say that technology has taken us so far ahead and has entered our lives so much that in today's time, all those things that used to happen in the earlier times are gone, like in the earlier times, you used to keep the records in physical papers. In today's time, that can be easily found in a laptop or computer. In the earlier times, all the classes, which used to be offline, are mostly online in today's time. Earlier, people used to wake up with the sound of birds. In today's time, people wake up with the alarm, and in the earlier times, people used to wait for 8:00.

When will they have a connection, and when will they watch their show on TV? In earlier times people had to face a lot of trouble. In today's time we have not seen all this trouble over small things, and in earlier times it used to take a lot of time for people to communicate with each other. In earlier times such posts used to be a medium. Letters—in today's time there are apps like WhatsApp Messenger through which you can talk anytime. In earlier times people used to crave to see each other. In today's time people can see anyone sitting anywhere in real FaceTime, so all these are small things that used to be of great benefit to us. All this used to not be there in earlier times.
