I have committed to posting 31 times in the month of May. If you don't know that already...then what are you even doing here? Why click on this silly post? You must know that the person who (believes they are) is writing this is just a broken, weird, old, narcissist... Right? You know that? But that's not your problem...

Instead, you need to worry about YOU. I mean, did you really mean to do that thing you did last Sunday? It was pretty cruel, and you've convinced yourself that it was (mostly) an accident. But was it? Of course not. Is it too late to make up for it? I don't know... I mean, I never claimed to be a pre-cog... (Shit, I'm barely a now-cog...) So, maybe think long and hard about that whole THING, and decide if you have the strength to make up for it. And go big. If you don't, they're gonna know you were being truthful about everything. That your REAL self had come out... Can you put that genie back in the bottle???

Hey folks, this is the REAL Richard F. Yates talking to you! (Probably...) I had the day off today, and I spent it cutting and folding mini-zines, trying to get prepared for that AUTHOR THING next weekend... I'm feeling pretty good about it!

This weekend, I'm gonna work on more stuff, cuz I had a moment or two of actual FUN - of existential bliss - mid-fold, and at one point I realized that I was not only enjoying the cutting and folding, but I was VERY happy with zines - the LOOK of them. Some are really too simple, some are bad, some are pointless, but the are PIECES in these things (and remember I've made something like 60 or more in the last few weeks) that I'm super proud of. These little monstrosities made ME happy! Hopefully, that joy and enthusiasm can be spread. I'm hoping that folks who come by my table at the AUTHOR EVENT get an understanding of the FUN I've been having just CREATING these little "books," for no reason other than the JOY of it! I'll have to work on projecting "YAY-ness" in a frequency that human-types can pick up on... (Breathe deep!)

I'm back to hanging with the grand-boy tomorrow. He's been a real inspiration, lately, watching him see new things and react as the concepts he's encountering start to click in his head. The experiment is working!!! Ha!
