Costs of some products in Colombia (ENG-ESP)

Hello! Dear friends of this wonderful community, I hope you are all well and having a great weekend. We are still in Colombia, in Cali, Bochalema to be exact, trying to get used to this new life. It hasn't been easy, and I personally miss my home and my beautiful island very much.

One of the things that has really struck me is that food is cheaper here than in Venezuela. A liter of oil costs $4 in Venezuela, but here it costs $1.50 or sometimes even $2. Milk, yogurt, cornflakes, even toilet paper is much cheaper here than on the island, something that has left me speechless.
What I love most is that my son's snacks are inexpensive, and here he is eating everything that we couldn't buy for him in Venezuela because of the high cost. We did buy them for him, but only once a month, practically. Here he eats them every day and we buy them weekly. Some of the photos I'm sharing with you show the average cost here, which is around $3,700 or even $3,800, depending on the quantity and the exchange method.

But even though all the food is cheaper, there's nothing like being at home, in my own territory, with our people. I hope to return soon, even if only for a visit, but I miss everything.

Queridos amigos de esta hermosa comunidad espero que todos se encuentren bien y tengan un excelente fin de semana, nosotros seguimos en Colombia exactamente en Cali en Bochalema, intentando acostumbrarnos a esta nueva vida no ha sido fácil y de verdad que a mí en lo personal extraño mucho mi casa y mi hermosa isla.

Una de las cosas que si me ha dejado impactada es el costo de la comida aquí es más económica que en Venezuela, cuando un litro de aceite te sale en Venezuela en 4 $ aquí te sale en 1.5 $ o a veces hasta los 2 $, la leche, yogures, corn flake, hasta el papel sanitario es mucho más económico aquí que en la isla algo que me ha dejado sin palabras, lo que más me encanta es que las meriendas de mi hijo son económicas y aquí está comiendo todo lo que en Venezuela no se le podía comprar por el alto costo que tenían, si se le compraba, pero una vez al mes prácticamente, aquí lo come diario y se le compra semanal, algunas de las fotos que estoy compartiendo con ustedes tienen los costos el peso aquí promedio al cambio se consigue en 3.700 x $ o hasta 3.800 x $ todo depende de la cantidad, y el método de cambio.

Pero aunque toda la comida sea más económica, nada como estar en mi casa, en mi territorio y con nuestra gente. Espero volver pronto, así sea de visita, pero extraño todo.
