One day, Two celebrations

Life moves fast, and before we knew it, summer was almost over. So when we got the chance to spend time with loved ones, we grabbed it and it turned out to be one of the most meaningful days we’ve had in a while. So hi Hivers! It's @rufajane back with another blog for this week.

Before the start of a new school year, our families had already agreed on a special get-together. We marked our calendars for May 28—a day we planned to spend catching up and enjoying each other's company before the hustle and bustle of classes began once again.
Since it was still vacation time, and also out of respect for the family friend who invited us (who had just returned home from a foreign country), we all happily agreed to the plan. Our arrangement was to spend time together from noon until late afternoon only, as we also had another important event to attend that day—my grandparents’ wedding anniversary.

The gathering was held at our family friend’s house, which is beautifully situated right by the sea. The timing couldn’t have been better. When we arrived at their place, the tide was high, and the breeze was strong. Even though it was just a simple gathering, it was still a lot of fun. True to Filipino tradition, we had a karaoke moment, an essential part of any celebration haha. We laughed, sang our hearts out, and simply enjoyed being together.
After that, we enjoyed a variety of delicious dishes that truly satisfied us.
And of course, we didn’t miss the chance to take pictures because that’s just part of who we are, right? 😅. Wherever we go, we always make sure to capture memories.
After spending a few hours there, we left for the next celebration—my grandparents' anniversary. That event was equally joyful, if not more. It felt like a mini reunion, with cousins and relatives coming together. We truly enjoyed the moment.
We didn’t even expect time to fly so fast, that's why we ended up going home at 3 a.m.!🤣 By that time, I was already extremely sleepy by then, and we didn’t wake up until noon the next day haha.
And yeah, that was all for today's blog. I hope that you are reminded to embrace the present moment because we will never know what will happen the next day because time flies so fast.
