📸FROM "FLASH ENEMY" TO PHOTO LOVER. MY CHILDHOOD PHOTO STRUGGLE 😂
1 comment

You see this thing called camera flash… ehn, it was my childhood enemy 😭😂
I don’t know who thought it was a good idea to blind small children before snapping them, but they definitely didn’t test it on people like me.
Anytime a photographer, or my parents and relatives brought out a camera and that tiny red light started blinking, just know the picture was already ruined before it even snapped.
Because immediately the flash hit my face, my eyes would close automatically like I was powering down for the day 😴🤣
And if somehow I managed to keep my eyes open, the picture would now look like I was either:
Half-asleep
Or I'll look like someone who accidentally drank something "stronger" than milo 😂
Meanwhile, other kids in the photo album would be smiling so fine…
Clear eyes, bright faces, looking like future models.
And me? I’d be there looking like someone forced me to be in the picture by spiritual command 😂
But the funniest part?
Now that I’m older, I actually enjoy taking pictures.
No more running away, no more complaining. I even adjust my pose and look for better lighting like a whole photography consultant 😅
Life is funny, sha.
From “flash victim” to someone who appreciates good photos.
But that childhood flash trauma tought me one thing....
Every photo has a story even the goofy ones
But let's be honest, those childhood pictures still crack me up whenever I see them.
Sometimes I wonder, “Why do I look like I was about to sleep off on the camera or looking drunk ?” 😭😂
Please tell me I’m not the only one that had this struggle growing up.
Did anyone else look like a confused, sleepy angel in their childhood photos? 😂
Share your experience so I’ll know I wasn’t suffering alone!
