Eating Out: Dessert Time at Moeis Cafe Medan

Hello food lovers in this Eating Out community. Some time ago, my friends and I spent time at one of the dessert cafes on Jalan Multatuli, Medan, North Sumatra, namely Moeis Cafe. This cafe offers a warm atmosphere with a touch of modern interior design but still feels homey.

Taste Sensation from Drinks and Desserts

We ordered three mainstay menus, each of which presented a different taste character but complemented each other. My friend and I were the first to order Salted Caramel Coffee which was served cold with biscuit crumb topping on top. The texture of this drink was so interesting—a layer of soft milk foam blended perfectly with the bold but not too bitter taste of coffee, then a rich sweet and salty caramel flavor emerged and left a savory aftertaste of biscuit crumbs. A successful combination for a comfort drink.

Next, my friend ordered Strawberry Tea which provided instant freshness. The bright red color of the tea was tempting, and the taste was as expected: fresh sweet and sour with a natural strawberry aroma. Perfect to accompany a relaxed atmosphere or as a flavor neutralizer after a heavy meal.

As a complement, we also enjoyed Tiramisu Cake served with thick slices and a tempting appearance. The mascarpone layer is soft, the sponge cake is moist and rich in coffee flavor, while the sprinkling of chocolate powder and chocolate flakes on top adds a distinctive bittersweet element. Not too sweet, and that makes it perfect to be combined with coffee.

The Comfortable and Aesthetic Atmosphere of Moeis Cafe

As soon as I entered this cafe, I was immediately greeted by an interior design that combines elegant and playful elements. The dark red nuances on the front and main walls give a warm and inviting impression. In the corner of the room, there is a bread rack that says "Bread Studio" which presents various types of bread neatly arranged in a minimalist curved wall rack, presenting a very interesting visual to photograph.

There is also an area with neon writing decorations "Just Enjoy Staying Here" which is adjacent to cute animal-shaped doll chairs and vases filled with artificial flowers, giving a unique and cozy impression.

The interior seating area is designed to be calmer, with a dominance of neutral colors and wooden elements that make the atmosphere even more homey.

The wavy walls combined with warm lighting create the right ambiance for working, chatting, or just me time.

The classic wall clock at the back gives a vintage touch that beautifies the entire room. No wonder many visitors are happy to linger here.

Overall, I like the dessert, the coffee and also the ambience of their cafe is very suitable for hanging out with friends, working from cafe or me time. I think its all for today see you in another my eating out post.
