Bad weather brings the Egrets

Whenever the rains show up seems like this bird always shows up. Not sure if it has something to do with fishing for the bird. But we commonly see if when there is a storm on the way or when its actively raining. In this case the rain already started, we can see little rain drops forming on the waters surface.

This bird comes in two different colors, a plain white and more brownish color. Maybe that is the difference between the males and females.. not sure.

When it saw me it took off.

Quickly it flapped its wings and made its way away from me.

Luckily I had my new camera with its fast photo mode.

So I got a bunch of pictures as it took off.

Luckily its a slow flier so I got a bunch before it disappeared.

Seems like this bird does not like to be near people.. Every time I get close to them they fly away.

The rain was starting to pick up. And my camera was about to get wet, so I got a couple more before it flew away completely.

It is always cool seeing birds that hang out by the water, certain kinds are more attracted to it more than others.

It starts to pick up in height and we can see its little legs trailing behind.. lol

Has a pretty impressive wingspan.

I wonder when I will see it again.

Maybe next time it rains again.

And one last shot before it left the area. I will try to get more pictures of it walking around, but they spook real easy. So for now I am just happy to capture the pictures I already did.
