Sunset are heartwarming by the sea, specially in a good breezy day and you can take rest or walk around. Hallet Cove is my first ever sea view of life, so it would always be special in my heart. It was visit in mid-day, and this one was before the sunset, still this place has it's own beautiful view in either time of the days.
Hallet Cove is named after John Hallet who discovered the area while searching for his lost cattle. Cove, stands for bay. So, the name Hallet Cove. It is located in the south west of Adelaide City.

Hallet Cove is a heritage for geological studies in South Australia. It has glacial pavements marking the existence of glaciers dating back to 280 million years ago. The glacial spots is called SugarLoaf, with a certan water line markings. Adding more to history, it was a place for aboroginal homes which dates back to 40,000 years. It is also a protected conservation park, and has natural, geological, and cultural importance for South Australia. You can go round the mini sand hill, and take a closer look to these glacial pavements.

This place provides a soothing sunset breeze, maybe it's because you can walk the costal pavements through and up the hill as well. While I went there, the clouds were scattered all over the sky playing with the sea. It added another great panaromic views of the coast. Summer is the best time to be here, with the outing and picinic spot available for your leisure times. Yes, you can expect the smell of algae, and wilderness but when the view is so good, you better take that as suppliment from the mother nature.

It's also a good park for swimming, surfing, kayaking, and fishing. Mostly, you can see people enjoying their times before the golden hours. These activities get quite a traffic while you can walk up to 7km of costal marine path. And, the sightseeing during the sunset hours is serene, peaceful, and calm. If you came unprepared, you can walk around the sand, and pebbles with your shoes, make sure you check some sharp small rocks though.

The space has enough parking for your cars, and is in good place to to see the sunset through your windshield, bring on some snacks if you like and sit on the grass lands if you please, have some walk, and take some fresh air. It is one of the best sunset spot near Adelaide, South Australia.
