A Peaceful Escape to Malapascua Island

Our trip to Malapascua Island was one of the most memorable experiences we have ever had. It was a two day getaway to celebrate my aunt’s birthday, and everything about it felt special from the start. Malapascua is known for its beautiful beaches, clear waters, and warm hospitality. I had heard so many good things about this place before, but seeing it with my own eyes was something else. The island welcomed us with its calm waves, powdery white sand, and the sound of the ocean that instantly made us forget about the noise of the city.

The journey to the island was already part of the adventure. We had to travel by road and then take a short boat ride, but every bit of it was worth it once we saw the view of the blue water and the golden sun shining on it. It felt like we were entering another world. As soon as we arrived, we checked into our place and decided to explore the beach right away. The white sand was so soft under our feet and the water was so clear that you could almost see the small fish swimming near the shore. The place was peaceful, and it gave us a sense of calm that we had been longing for.
During our stay, we spent most of our time at the beach. My aunt looked so happy as she watched the waves and took pictures with us. The beach stretched wide and far, and it was not too crowded which made it even more relaxing. I played with my cousin, built sandcastles, and walked along the shore. The sky turned into shades of orange and pink that reflected beautifully on the water. It was one of those moments that you just want to keep in your memory forever. I remember standing there thinking about how peaceful life can be when you are surrounded by nature and people you love.

When night came, we decided to have dinner at a restaurant near the beach called Amihan. The place had a cozy atmosphere with warm lights and a beautiful view of the ocean at night. We could hear the sound of the waves as we ate, and it made the dinner even more enjoyable. The food was absolutely amazing. I ordered grilled squid, shrimp, and fresh fish, along with a bowl of colorful salad. Everything tasted so fresh and delicious that we could not help but compliment the chef. The seafood was perfectly cooked and the flavors reminded us of the simple joys of island life. We ended the dinner with laughter and stories while my aunt blew her birthday candle. It was a simple celebration, yet it felt meaningful and full of love.

The next day, we woke up early to watch the sunrise. The view was breathtaking. The sky slowly changed from dark blue to golden as the sun started to rise above the horizon. The reflection of the light on the calm sea was so beautiful that it looked like something out of a painting. We took a few pictures but mostly just stood there and admired the beauty in front of us. It was one of those scenes that made you appreciate how wonderful the world can be. The island was quiet that morning and we could only hear the sound of the wind and the gentle waves hitting the shore.

After breakfast, we took another walk along the beach. My cousin were running around happily, collecting shells and playing in the sand. The water was inviting, so we decided to take a quick swim. The sea was cool and refreshing, and it felt so good to just float and look up at the sky. I remember thinking how much I wanted to stay longer and experience more of what the island had to offer. Every corner of Malapascua seemed to hold something special, from the clear waters to the smiling locals who greeted us with warmth.

Before we left, we spent a few more moments by the beach, taking pictures and simply enjoying the view. It was hard to say goodbye to such a beautiful place. The trip may have only lasted two days, but the memories we made there will last a lifetime. Malapascua Island showed us the beauty of slowing down and appreciating the simple things in life. It reminded us that sometimes, happiness can be found in the sound of the waves, the laughter of family, and the feeling of sand beneath your feet.

If there is one thing that stood out the most from our trip, it would definitely be the beaches. The food was great and the people were kind, but the white sand and clear waters were truly the highlight of everything. Every time I looked around, I felt amazed by how pure and beautiful the island was. It never fails to amaze me no matter how many times I see the sea. Malapascua Island gave us not just a place to celebrate but a place to reconnect with nature and with each other. I will always remember those two days as some of the most peaceful and joyful moments of my life.
