Thai Ceramics Exhibition Hall, an awesome Museum on Koh Kret
2 comments

Koh Kret is famous for its cultural tourist destination; i.e. interesting mixed cultures of the Thai community, which includes Buddhist, Muslim and Mon lifestyles.
The Thai Ceramics Exhibition Hall is one of the good examples for the cultural values. It’s an awesome and unseen Museum which I would like to recommend you to visit. It’s especially special for the ones who appreciate the art of time, like me.
This museum is located at Wat Poramaiyikawas, the one that I presented to you in my previous post.
This museum showcases the story of pottery, a traditional occupation of the Mon people in Thailand for over 100 years.

In the glass cabinets are terracotta alms bowls, jars, cups, containers, vases, and water jugs, both old and new, with traditional patterns imitating nature, such as flower patterns, inverted lotus patterns, upright lotus patterns, using techniques such as carving or stenciling, etc.

If you are interested in the history and cultures and would like to experience them with your own eyes, join us at the Thai Ceramics Exhibition Hall on Koh Kret.
More interesting photos in my next post, please stay tuned.
