It's Been a While... Mr. Sun!!! (Morning Walk)

Over the past few weeks, my area has been experiencing heavy rainfall, leading to flooding. Although the flood subsides as soon as the rain stops, puddles remain in most places. This makes going for a walk quite a hassle.
However, it has been sunny the past couple of days, so last night, I told my father that I'd love to go for a walk the next morning (which was this morning).
I told him we could leave around 5 AM, since the sunrise would be around 5:30, and the baywalk is about 15 minutes away.
He overslept, but it's still good. With the extra time we had, we'd still be able to see the sunrise.
The sea was calm when we arrived. There was a cool sea breeze. The boats were blocking our way, though. So we had to walk over them to continue walking. We enjoy walking on this narrow ramp than on the road because it's easier to see the sea.
When we reached the other side of the narrow ramp, the sun had begun to peek. I took a bunch of pictures showing the sun rising slowly. Let me show them below. The zoomed-in photos are not of the highest quality, but I hope you still enjoy them. :)
It was so beautiful and mesmerizing in person. It made waking up early all worth it. This is a simple joy of mine. Although I don't enjoy going out much, I still find happiness in being in nature like this.
The world is a fantastic place, isn't it? There are a lot of crazy and terrible things happening, but it never runs out of things to be thankful for, either.
Of course, we had to take our mandatory duofie with Mr. Sun as well. hahaha
I took some more photos as we continued walking towards the plaza. We often stay there for several minutes before heading home, so we decided to do it today as well.
I forgot that it was a Sunday and was shocked to see a lot of people on the beach. XD So we stayed there shorter than usual, but before that, we had to walk on the sand and get some taho!
Of course, we had to buy some for Mama, too. I drank the water from my tumbler (though I had to throw some of it away) and replaced it with taho as a souvenir. hahaha
I didn't really like the crowd, so I asked Papa if we could take a detour and walk for a longer distance instead.
The green and indigo were our usual routes whenever we went for a walk, but this time, we followed a much longer one. It was fun and refreshing, though. I took more photos along the way. :)
The highway (CSCR = Cebu South Coastal Road) was calm and quiet on a Sunday morning, and I loved it! haha
We took another detour going through Ramona Village. It's my first time walking through this place, though I've passed by here several times by car. There were some interesting houses, and some abandoned ones. XD
At around 6:40 AM, we arrived at the local market and bought some vegetables that Mama had asked us to buy. The pharmacy in this area is still closed, so we decided to take another detour so that the pharmacy near our house would be open by the time we get there.
Here's the small street we decided to take. It'll take us at least twice the distance of the usual route. I enjoy passing by this area because there are many interesting houses and gardens.
We also passed by this area, which had a lot of firewood. My father said that the nearby lechon (roasted pig) place owns them and uses them in cooking.
My city is known for lechon and even has a festival celebrating it. Many people who had arrived earlier at the beach were also eating lechon, as there were several lechon restaurants nearby. My family doesn't eat it often, though... especially since my Mama had hypertension.
Anyway, we still had around five minutes left before the nearby pharmacy opened, so Papa and I hung around 7-Eleven to kill time. haha We didn't buy anything there, though. XD We ran our pharmacy errand before arriving home.
We walked for almost 6 kilometers today! It was a nice achievement. I needed it... :) And that's it for this post. :)
Hope you enjoyed the walk as much as I did. See you around! (^^,)/
