As we approach the summer months and Q3 it's time to think further ahead. It seems just yesterday we were celebrating our anniversary as Hive.
Hive promotional events and activities had another strong start this year and we'd first and foremost would like to thank all of the contributors who worked tirelessly organizing, mentoring, developing, designing, speaking, representing, racing, meeting, and building for Hive. There are far too many people to list here -- together we are the Hive decentralized community.

Your Value Plan keyholders as always are @theycallmedan, @smooth, @guiltyparties, @crimsonclad and @blocktrades. Project management is carried out by @crimsonclad and @guiltyparties.
The project scope includes promotional, marketing, impact and task-based activities that support Hive and its ecosystem as a whole. Activities may be major or minor. Project costs such as logistics and merchandise fit within the scope.
We take project management and quality control very seriously. All line items are continuously scrutinized and we employ a cyclical feedback model of communication.

Highlights
A great shout-out!
Following the success of the Rallye Monte-Carlo (Monaco), the Hive team raced in WRC Croatia Rally and is currently preparing for the WRC Vodafone Rally in Porto, Portugal.
Notably, Porto is also the city where you can find a stadium with the Hive logo on the court used by the Associação Atlética de Águas Santas professional handball team.
Hive sports on the move
Other sports on Hive, including motorcycle racing, bicycle racing and amateur running have also gained much traction and attention.
The Street Workout Community held a number of events and continually attracted the attention of local mainstream media. Notably, a monumental sporting event took place some weeks ago in conjunction with the Jose Rafael Revenga special needs school with an impact that went far beyond Hive marketing.
Making a difference
The B2B work of Hive Sucre continues to relentlessly pave the way for HIVE and HBD adoption among retailers.
Elsewhere in Venezuela, Actifit was at the center of a large crossfit event. In addition, the Museo de Bellas Artes de Caracas recently hosted and then joined Hive.
Hive joined multiple events in Peru where we partnered with other blockchain proponents to share our technology and talk Web3.
The Vibes music competition continued to hit the hight notes. Many talented musicians are finding their new home on Hive.
A major joint campaign with Binance saw HIVE added on its Simple Earn Locked Products. The campaign spans April to October and has already garnered much attention.
BuzzParty in Germany drew many Hive community members for a much-awaited meetup and promotional event.
Poland's Hive hub in Krolestwo successfully piloted a series of awesome Hive-focused activities which are scheduled to continue.

The New Internet conference took place in March in Ghana and was organized, designed and documented eniterly by Hive members to much acclaim.
Talent Land, our first external conference in Mexico, was a great success. It was an exceptional event with great synergy.
Wrestlecon brought Hive into the world of wrestling and introduced the world of wrestling to Hive.
Web3 Dubai has just concluded with a Hive presence. Despite obstacles beyond our control, including forces of nature, the conference persevered.
Hive hackathons and tech conferences are gaining traction in India. Two hackathons, Code Hive and Vihaan, were successfully held with many inventive solutions. Hive also joined Google for GDSC WOW, its student conference. Hive inspires and empowers students to reach new heights and to build on a truly decentralized blockchain.

Administrative Discussion
Over time we estimate somewhere between 200 and 300 Hive community members directly contributed to one or more Value Plan project or event. Every conference, every event, every initiative is a serious undertaking leveraging the skills of individuals all over the world.
Management
Value Plan has two project managers at the moment whose primary role is to balance initiatives, ensure all projects are approached professionally, support collaboration between various elements of Hive including dapps and initiatives, and generally assist individuals carrying out marketing. This is not possible without a strong project management education and years of professional experience.
Additionally, all campaigns launched with partners are handled exclusively by marketing professionals on our end and theirs. Marketing a blockchain/cryptocurrency is far different than marketing a traditional business and due to these inherent complexities and our decentralized vision as Hive, we will continue to leverage the strength of our community. No business providing services, including marketing services, is suitable for funding under Value Plan and must formulate their own individual DHF proposal.
Contributions
To contribute under Value Plan in various initiatives, each person must demonstrate competency and professionalism. Each project has different goals they must meet due to the inherent differences between initiatives and all persons work tirelessly towards them due to their faith in Hive and desire to support the ecosystem.
Value Plan contribution at any level is many hours of work. With the exception of a few specialized services (which are paid far below industry standards), there is no remuneration at this time. Hive community members who contribute to Value Plan organizing conference participation, holding events, even driving the rally car are not getting paid for it. They want Hive to succeed, often at the expense to their professional and personal lives.
It should be noted that Value Plan covers the costs of the activity, not the person. It is not a sponsorship. The person who proposes the activity and the person who takes the lead on organizing the activity or representing Hive are often not the same person. Value Plan is an extension of the DHF with a budget aimed at promoting and marketing Hive. It is not a venue for personal projects. Any ideas presented to Value Plan which are either designed as personal businesses or personal projects of any kind are respectfully declined.
Approaches
Value Plan is comprised of multiple streams of activity, some of which are developed over long periods of time. The rally car promotional approach was in the works for several years, for example. It was proposed back upon the launch of Hive but the pandemic stayed it. Rallying has a massive demographic of participants, fans and followers. It is a well-televised sport with professional associations and a global series of events. This is also a sport which, much like Hive, has a presence fairly evenly throughout the world. To date, Hive was seen by millions throughout the world as a result of our participation in WRC competitions.
Physical and digital activities are both very important to promoting Hive. This past quarter we have launched a major campaign with Binance (see above). Further online campaigns are being worked on and we are likely to see more and more of them in the future. We look forward to their success. Hive physical representations such as merchandise gets the Hive brand known in areas beyond events; people take shirts home, they wear them at work in businesses that accept HIVE/HBD, they share them with family and friends. We see proliferation well-beyond our immediate reach.
