Nice Food Always Brings Us Back For More - Italian Osteria Visit Once Again

Been having a really tough week last week and it was the same for my wife where we were really stretched and so we decided that after church service in the weekend, we should head to one of our favourite places for a nice meal.

I had shared this place previously in another post quite some time back and because this place serve really nice and authentic Italian food, we came back for more. We kinda missed the amazing food that they served and the awesome place they had which was nice and cozy for a meal.

Another factor that we returned here is that, after trying a few other locations that serve good Italian food, this is still the place where it will not burn a big hole in your pocket while enjoying top notch Italian food.

And here's what we've ordered when we visited this time:

Looks really good isn't it? We have effectively ordered a new set of food this time round as compared to the previous but Porchetta was kept constant because this is really one of the best dish they serve. There is an additional pork chop that we ordered but not seen in the above picture because we run out of space on the table and had to clear something before the pork chop can be served.

Because it is so good, I will break down and share on each of the item we eat.

Porchetta

The only constant from previous meal. This dish is absolutely heavenly, instead of the usual Hong Kong Style roasting of pork belly, this is actually baked and dosed with a generous amount of fennel to elevate the herb taste which removes the oily taste from the pork belly itself. Baked to perfection with a nice crisp and the spices added extra fragrance to the meat, what more can we ask for? If you ever visit, ordering this is a must!

Margarita Pizza

Not the usual round pizza that one ordered from pizza joints, this is a very nicely done pizza that I am certain came right out of the oven as I do see some smoke coming out from the pizza when it was served. Nice and fresh ingredients, generous amount of mozzarella cheese and a crispy crust. This combination will make you crave for more and because of the thinner crust, you would not be felling overly stuffed by the crust. Similar to the pizza we tasted the other time which is of a different flavour, this is also something that I highly recommend you order.

Cold Cut Platter

As my wife did not try cold cut before, I decided to order this to let her have a taste of how cold cuts served in a restaurant and not the usual cold cut trio that she eats from Subway. A platter that is running out of space with generous amount of meat which included ham and salami. Every slice is so thin that it almost melts in your mouth when you put it in, some of them are nicely salted and the long biscuit that was served with it, while looking very ordinary, tasted great with the combination of the cold cut served. Another dish that wow-ed my wife and she gave really good reviews on this platter.

Pork Chop, Parmesan

Look at that piece of meat that comes with a parmesan sauce. It also comes with some grilled vegetables below the piece of meat. First time trying this and it was good. Sometimes pork chops are not the easiest dish to prepare as sometimes if the cook timing is not done properly, it can make the meat super dry and we will have a very tired jaw after eating the pork chop. This was done with really good control and the juices are well locked that gave a super tender bite. The sauce is interesting and gives the meat a good taste but even without it, the meat is really nicely done.

What a meal! I am now really curious, this is effectively described by my colleague whom shared me this location, a restaurant with no bad items in the menu and everyone of it is really good. The quality is just so good and I can see how much effort the chefs put into making the food they serve be of really high standards. Hoping to come by again soon and have another nice meal.
