Amazing Abundance on Our Land

Who would have thought, when Clare and I first walked our land, a little over 4 months ago, that it would be such an abundant place?
We felt it, back then, even during the driest time of the year.
People wondered why we would buy a plot of land with a dried-out well on it and a house that wasn't much more than a storage space and why we would choose to live there, without running water or electricity.
Since then though, we have discovered so much food that we can’t eat it all nor can we keep up with the harvesting and processing of said riches.
From most recent until earliest, we have found rose hips, olives, leafy greens ( we are eating bietole and nettles several days a week and sometimes eat borage ).

There are literally
to eat or even crack. In fact, we still have a couple of boxes with what might be 25 Kgs worth of these billies to deal with.Since our arrival, mid-Summer, we have picked and eaten plenty of figs and blackberries, as well as a serious amount of plums, some hazelnuts, a couple of dozen peaches, loads of cornus mas ( cornelian cherry ), too many pomegrenates to eat and likely a couple more healthy goodies that I forgot to name here.
Feel free to add to the list here, @clareartista , if you can think of anything else ;<)
And I would almost forgot about our olives... Even though we don't seem to have a worthwhile amount to make olive oil with, this year, we have buckets full of them. In fact, Clare is refreshing the water of one of those, right now. We can't wait to put them into jars and add them to our future dishes, throughout 2026.

Long story short, we feel pretty blessed and – more importantly – these things all grow in our own garden/ on our own land, already.
It must be said that it's a sizable plot of land and woodland - ca. 2.5 acres/ 1.1 square km - but we only started working it, manually ( without the use of any kind of big machinery ), a couple of months ago and it seems to have been ignored, mostly, in the last couple of years.
In short, this is only the beginning.
And thus, whilst most people are focused on scarcity/ are having a scarcity mindset as this is what the mainstream media want us to believe ( there’s not enough oil, not enough gas, not enough money, not enough time, not enough water. You name it and there’s not enough of it ), we are feeling abundant. Most days. That is, when we ourselves aren’t tricked into the negative dream spell or the repeated thoughts of the majority.
What about you? Do you feel abundant? And if so, what do you have ( more than ) enough of?
