My Rollercoaster Ride in Splinterlands! 🎢

Hello Hive friends!!

I'm finally gathering the courage to share a little bit about my Splinterlands adventures with the Olio Balena community..
Honestly, I'm not some pro player..
I'm still very much figuring things out,, so go easy on me, hehe... 😅

I wanted to share pictures from two recent ranked matches, which pretty much sum up my current skill level.. one moment you're up,, and the next, you're down..

Game 1: The Unexpected Victory! (Earth Cards) 🌍🏆

For my first match, I decided to stick with the Earth Splinter..
I was just throwing cards out there,, not really sure about the best lineup but somehow... it worked!! 😁

My team of green goodness fought hard and I actually won the battle!!
It was a great feeling, climbing up a little in Bronze III..
I think that win was more luck than skill,, 🤣
but I'll take it!!

Check out the battle and my sweet victory.. It's proof that sometimes, even a newbie can have a good day..

Game 2: The Counter-Strategy Fail! (Life Cards) 💔

Feeling a little confident after the first win,, I went into the second match with a "strategy."
I'd noticed my opponent often played Death cards,, so I thought, "Aha! I'll counter with Life cards.."😜

I was so ready with my shiny new lineup..
But my opponent did use their usual Death cards...
and it was a crushing defeat anyway 😭

My great idea to counter them with Life cards was completely shut down..
Turns out, knowing the right Splinter to pick isn't the same as knowing the right cards to pick, or where to put them..
Defeat!! Back to earth I go.. 😭

My gameplay isn't exactly peak competitive Splinterlands,, but I'm having fun and I'm really willing to learn..
I know there are so many brilliant players here in the Olio Balena community...

Do you have any suggestions or recommendations for me??
What are some simple rules for card placement?? Any easy-to-learn card combos for a Bronze-level player like me? I'm open to all your advice on my game and cards..

What's your favorite Splinter to play right now? I might try it next 😆
