Ingredients

🦐 1.5 lbs 680g shrimp, peeled and deveined
🌶️ 1 teaspoon paprika
🌿 1 teaspoon dried herbs, e.g., oregano or Italian seasoning
🧂 1/2 teaspoon salt
🌶️ 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
🫒 2 tablespoons olive oil
🧄 3 cloves garlic, minced
🍅 1 can 425g tomato sauce
🍬 2 tablespoons corn starch
🥣 1/2 cup broth/stock
🍶 1/2 cup 120ml heavy whipping cream
🍝 454g small shells pasta, pre-cooked
🧀 3 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
🌿 Fresh parsley, finely chopped for garnish


Instructions

1- Prepare Shrimp:

  • Place shrimp in a bowl.

2- Season Shrimp:

  • Add paprika, dried herbs, half of the salt, half of the black pepper, and olive oil to the shrimp. Mix well.

3- Cook Shrimp:

  • Heat a large pan over medium-high heat.
  • Cook shrimp until pink and opaque, approximately 2-3 minutes per side. Add garlic during the last minute. Remove and set aside.

4- Prepare Sauce:

  • In the same pan, add the tomato sauce, remaining salt, black pepper, and herbs. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.

5- Add Cream and Broth:

  • Stir in corn starch dissolved in broth/stock, then add to the pan.
  • Pour in heavy cream and stir until the sauce thickens slightly.

6- Combine Pasta:

  • Mix pre-cooked pasta into the sauce.

7- Internal Cheese Addition:

  • Stir in 1.5-2 cups of mozzarella until melted.

8- Add Cooked Shrimp:

  • Gently fold shrimp into the mixture.

9- Transfer to Baking Dish:

  • Pour the mixture into a baking dish. Sprinkle 1 cup of mozzarella on top.

10- Bake:
- Preheat oven to 375°F 190°C. Bake until cheese is bubbly and golden, about 10-15 minutes.

11- Serve & Garnish:
- Remove from oven, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve hot.
