It makes no sense! War makes no sense. To what good is it? How far will hate carry us?
A four-letter word, like love but stripped of tenderness, stuffed with fury, more beast than human.
It’s no longer survival, no longer the colonial times, yet here we stand surrounded by hate, ignited by unhealed wounds, preying on the future of those yet to come.
It makes no sense! An innocent life caught in the wildfire, harvested before its season, all in the name of “rights.” How "right" is that?
It makes no sense! Acting as God, snatching breath you never gave. Forgetting that you too, the taker, are on borrowed time.
When will hate ever cease? Why can’t we live in harmony? Why do humans complicate what could be so simple?
It makes no sense! The only being given authority over creation turning on creation itself.
It makes no sense! The absurdity woven deep into our very cores led by hate instead of love, and still we dare call ourselves human.
It makes no sense... When peace is possible.
