Our DIY Adventure: Uncovering Baler's Breathtaking Discoveries & Scenic Views
9 comments
Hello, Worldmappin fam! 💖 I wish you all well and hope you're having a wonderful weekend 🙏
After settling into our unexpected paradise at Diguisit Beach, we started looking for tourist spots nearby. Exploring new places is always exciting, especially when you're relying on your own Google searches and maps to find the best spots. That's exactly what we did in Baler! We wanted to make the most of our time, even if it was just a quick weekend getaway.
Ermita Hill
Our first adventure led us straight to Ermita Hill. Since it was the nearest tourist attraction from Diguisit Beach, it made perfect sense to go there first. Ermita Hill is a lovely, simple park that offers so much more than just a place to walk around.
Right away, you'll spot the landmark: those big, colorful letters spelling out "Ermita Hill." Of course, we had to snap a few photos there! But the real treat is the view from the top. You get to see a truly magnificent view of the bay stretching out far and wide.
Standing there, feeling the sea breeze, it just makes you contemplate about life and how beautiful the world is. We spent a good amount of time just taking pictures of the amazing overlooking view and soaking in all that peace.
Ermita Hill is just perfect for relaxing with family. There’s plenty of space to walk around, find a quiet bench, or just stand and stare at the horizon. It’s a place that reminds you to slow down, breathe in the fresh air, and appreciate the simple, breathtaking gifts of nature, especially when you're surrounded by the people you love.
Zabali Hanging Bridge
After enjoying the calm beauty of Ermita Hill, we looked for the next nearby spot and found the Zabali Hanging Bridge. The best part? There was no entrance fee! 👌
The bridge is quite long, and made of wood reinforced by steel, so you don't need to worry about it swaying too much in the wind while you cross. It felt pretty sturdy, which was a relief! As we walked across, the air was so cool, a nice change from the warm afternoon. This was also a perfect moment to capture some beauty.
I got the chance to capture the beautiful view of the waters and nature surrounding it while the sun was setting. It was such a peaceful and beautiful walk ✨
Baler Landmark
Before heading back to our place at Diguisit Beach, we made one last quick stop. We passed by the Baler Landmark, where the word "Baler" is written in big, red letters, with a huge surfboard behind it. This landmark is there because Baler is famous for its surfing, especially at Sabang Beach.
Unfortunately, we weren't able to visit Sabang Beach this time. We only had the weekend to explore Baler, and some of our relatives had to go back to work on Monday. So, we had to make the most of the time we had!
Our short but sweet trip to these places was a wonderful mix of quiet contemplation at Ermita Hill, a fun adventure across Zabali Hanging Bridge, and a quick hello to the iconic Baler landmark. Even with limited time, relying on our searches and maps helped us discover some truly special spots. It was a perfect short getaway filled with beautiful views and great company, proving that every moment counts! 💖
