Hello everyone! πŸ’– It's me again @wanderelle ! ☺️ Hope you enjoyed our fascinating cultural immersion at the Igorot Stone Kingdom (Part 5). For those who love strawberries, and wants to try strawberry picking, this is a perfect place to visit. This time, we went to the famous Strawberry Farm in La Trinidad, Benguet. The weather was quite cloudy, but we were excited for what the day would bring.

We took a taxi to get to the farm, and the ride itself became exciting despite of the traffic; thanks to our driver ✨ He was a young man, only 23 years old, but he drove so smoothly. He's handling the uphill and downhill slopes around Baguio City with his manual transmission like a veteran driver. We were so impressed by his skills that we started chatting with him. He told us he began driving at just 15 years old to help his family. He didn't want to follow their family's traditional livelihood of mining, which he felt was too dangerous, so he pushed himself to learn driving. His story was truly inspiring, and his excellent driving skills made the journey feel short and enjoyable. We weren't bored at all on the way.

When we finally arrived at the La Trinidad Strawberry Farm, it was still morning, so it wasn't crowded yet. The weather was cool and it’s quite foggy, and the air felt incredibly fresh. It was peaceful, and we actually thought it might rain, but luckily, it didn't. This was perfect, as we got to fully enjoy the cool weather while walking around the farm.

We spent our time exploring the whole farm. It was so refreshing to see the vast fields. We were eager to try strawberry picking, which is what many tourists come here for. They usually price it per kilo, and the peak season for the best, most abundant strawberries is usually from December to April. However, during our visit, some of the strawberries weren't quite ripe enough for picking. So, we decided to just buy fresh ones directly from the many vendors right there at the farm.

Even without picking, we found plenty of delicious strawberries. The ones we bought were incredibly fresh, sweet, and juicy. We saved them to make delicious strawberry shakes back home.

While walking along, I saw this beautiful, fully bloomed sunflower too! 😍 It really caught my attention so I took a photo of it.

Aside from strawberries, we also saw fields of lettuce vegetation, including beautiful Romaine lettuce fields that almost looked like green flowers.

We also found other goodies like strawberry jam, tasty choco flakes, and strawberry keychains (I even got one for my cute little stuffed toy, Caramel πŸ’–). My hands were full of plastic bags from all our purchases, so I didn't get to take photos of the fresh strawberries we bought.

Hi there! I'm Caramel πŸ‘‹

We were so happy to finally visit this famous place. Even though we didn't get to pick strawberries ourselves, we had a lot of fun exploring and seeing this beautiful plantation.

The overall atmosphere of the place was very peaceful and refreshing. We were truly mesmerized by the beautiful view and felt a deep appreciation for nature and this whole plantation. It was a joyful adventure just walking around and seeing everything.

πŸ“Tips for Your Visit

If you're planning to visit the Strawberry Farm, here are some helpful tips:

  • Wear comfortable shoes. It can be slippery if wet.

  • Check the weather forecast before you go to ensure you enjoy the farm without heavy rain.
  • There are many vendors both inside and outside the farm selling fresh strawberries and a variety of strawberry products, so you'll have lots of options to choose from.
