China is getting ready to put some cities under lockdown once more.
Covid instances have reduced in China, while flu cases are fast rising.
Because of this, the Chinese authorities seek to implement a lockdown in select cities.
People are now noticing rage as a result of this choice.
Many claim that if this is done, the scenario will resemble that of COVID.
After the shutdown, the Chinese city of Xi'an has developed an emergency action plan.
It suggested that infected portions of the city may be blocked. Moreover, orders to lessen traffic will be given.
Also, commercial and production operations can be put on hold.
Shopping centers, theaters, libraries, popular tourist destinations, and other busy areas will also be closed.
Schools and nurseries at all levels will be closed in accordance with the emergency response plan.
There are around 13 million people living in Xi'an. Also, the city is a well-liked travel destination.
On social media, the local government has come under fire for the announcement of the lockdown.
On Weibo, a user suggested that vaccination campaigns be conducted in place of lockdowns.
Another commenter described how such news would cause people to fear.
Without clear national direction, Xi'an intends to adopt a resolution suspending labor and company operations. There has been a scarcity of medications in some pharmacies along with the rise in flu cases in China.
Notably, during the Covid epidemic, China imposed some of the strictest Covid restrictions ever.
In other places, there were lockdowns that lasted for months.
Also under heavy lockdown from December 2021 to January 2022 was the city of Xi'an.
Many people at this time struggled to get food and other necessities.
The same was true of the medical sector.
