One of the biggest problems with the GBA games was also the reason why the series became so popular: to beat the game 100%, you had to have a friend to play with. On paper, this sounds incredible, a way to encourage real interaction through the game itself. At first, I didn't understand what it did, but when I noticed that it allowed me to open two games at the same time, I realized its purpose. This allowed two games to be connected and maneuverable, thus solving many specific situations in Pokemon.

First, Pokémon that needed to evolve through trading, like my favorite Pokémon, Gengar, could now reach their final stage. Items could be transferred from one game to another. Since each game has items that we only get once, this was extremely useful. It was also useful for obtaining Pokémon from other regions, which could also be used to complete the Pokedex or to form more efficient teams, as is the case here.

Thus, the local link becomes the ultimate tool for players interested in the post-game, extending the life of the game and allowing us to complete our adventure 100%. Through this exchange, we were able to complete the hatchlings of what will become our future team, which will face the Battle Tower and the various challenges of the front lines. Uno de los problemas más grandes que tenían los juegos de Gba fueron también el motivo por el cual la saga se hizo tan popular, para ganar el juego al 100% había que tener algún amigo que jugar. En papel esto suena increíble una forma de fomentar la interacción real a través del propio juego. Pero a su vez esto causaba que jugadores más solitarios aún tenían do dos versiones distintas quedarán con huecos en su pokedex por la necesidad de tener dos consolas y un cable para conectarlas.

Con los simuladores la historia parecía iba a repetirse, pero no. El My Boy, que es el simulador que particularmente uso tenía una función muy especial el Local Link. En un principio no entendía para que funcionaba, pero al notar que me permitía abrir de cierta manera dos juegos a la vez me di cuenta de su función. Esto permitía tener dos juegos conectados y donde se pudiera maniobrar solucionando así muchas situaciones puntuales en Pokemon.

En primer lugar los Pokemon que necesitaban evolucionar por intercambio como mi pokemon favorito Gengar, ya podían llegar a su última etapa. Los objetos podían trasfeirse de un juego a otro, tirnindo en cuanto de que hay en cada juego objetos que solo conseguimos una vez esto era extraordinariamente útil. También para obtener Pokes de otras regiones que lo mismo sirvieran para completar la Pokedex o para formar equipos más eficientes como es el caso.

Así el local link se vuelve la herramienta definitiva para los jugadores interesados en el post-game, cosa que alarga la vida del juego y permite completar nuestra aventura al 100%. Así mediante este intercambio conseguimos completar las crías de lo que será nuestro futuro equipo el cual enfrentará la Torre Batalla y los distintos desafíos del frente.
