The theme is all about rivals for this zingtober day 20 although i am quite behind in the schedule just like how zappit is just a bit behind in the race running after the number 1 speedster emberion...

For day 24, the word is rowdy! Without searching the meaning, and just based on what I know, the word means being loud to the point of inconvenience to others. Something loud that is disruptive. Forest Healer singing at the top of her lungs! 😆 Who does this at karaoke night? (not me!😜)...

I began with a rough sketch, focusing on the composition and pose. My goal was to capture a serene and balanced posture that reflected the healer’s calm personality. The sketch stage is always where I allow myself to explore freely, adjusting proportions and experimenting with how the character interacts with the environment. Next came the line art. This part is where everything becomes clearer and more defined. I refined the lines to make them clean and expressive, paying special attention to her face and hands—the parts that convey the most emotion...

The theme for today's fan art is Firefly. Now, this one is a theme that can not be misinterpreted or have any other meanings than the actual word it describes, so that's why I didn't push it any further and just drew our little guy Glimmo holding one in the middle of the forest. Now, in hindsight, firefly is used metaphorically for all sorts of meanings in literature and the like contexts, but I thought going that far for today's theme would be kind of overkill...

For this Pixel Art I based it on a previous one that I had already done to make Ermy again doing something else, in this case digging in the snow. It started with Ermy's head based on a design from a previous Pixel Art I made changing the color scheme. Then I made the body also based on my previous Pixel art, but modifying it to have a frontal angle and only half the body since the rest will not be seen. Then I made the hole where Ermy would come out with a simple design with a shadow and no outline underneath to join the background...

The Zingtober’s 23th prompt is “Firefly”. For this prompt, I had this idea of drawing one of the female healers and then draw a firefly on her face. I really like fireflies and I usually draw them in my drawings when I’m portraying the characters in jungle. I decided to draw the firefly as it is sitting on the healer face and it makes that side of the face look lighter in the dark jungle. I chose to draw the ocean healer portrait for this prompt...

I used images of bats in flight as reference, since Emberox's design is that of a Wyvern and its flight closely resembles that of bats. This helped me achieve a dynamic, action-oriented movement. Of course, I had to refine the sketch, though without making it perfect, as that would actually enhance the character's sense of movement. To make my life easier, I did use the symmetry tool for Emberox's face. I filled in the character, separating the face, body, and wings into different layers. I didn’t aim for perfection, but I made sure to respect the line art. I also added highlights...

I started with a loose sketch to capture her pose and attitude. My main goal was to make her look bold and alive, as if she were about to cause some playful chaos. The sketch helped me visualize her movement and how the bazooka would fit naturally into the composition. Once satisfied, I moved on to the line art. Clean lines are essential to preserve the strength of the character, so I paid special attention to her hair, the shark-shaped weapon, and the torn textures of her clothes. Each line was meant to transmit energy and expressiveness...

I started this one in Corel Painter, where I worked on the first sketches. I like the program, but I’m still not super confident with the ink brushes there. It’s tricky to get those clean, sharp lines I want, so I ended up doing a few test sketches before things started to click. I actually made around three different drafts 🙈. Each one felt a bit better than the last, but something was still missing. I wanted more strength, more attitude. I had Holozing’s penguin in mind, but I wanted to turn him into...

This time, my post is for the latest Zingtober contest in 2025. I chose 10 prompts chosen by Holozing, with a 72-hour posting period from the first post. Creating black-and-white artwork is a challenge, as you determine the light and dark values of an object to convey the atmosphere of the environment within the artwork. My Zingtober post, using the BLAST prompt, depicts Emberox emitting a powerful jet of plasma flames from its mouth, which also looks like lightning flashing around the jet...
