Today being Sunday and my work free day y, I decided to visit my mum and her grandson. To ease my movement ,I used my bike for the journey since it was just about a 45 minute ride by bike from my place of residence to where my mum is leaving. The weather was calm but cloudy, and the cool breeze of the early morning made the ride enjoyable with less traffic that morning. These leaves are known for their natural healing properties especially in boosting the immune system, relieving stress, and helping to manage blood pressure and it is highly recommended for aging people , especially with our parents to keep them off frequent doctors appointments. I collected as much of the eucalyptus leaves that will be required to make enough herbal drink that will go at least a week for her consumption . . Which I did to his delight and his grandma(my mum ) hearing the sound of my bike came out to welcome me inside. Her face lit up the moment she saw me, and I could feel the happiness in her face. We sat together for a while, talked, and laughed like we always do then she offered me the available food to eat while suggesting to make any other food of my choice, but I was okay with the one I was offered so I declined the rest.Then I brought out the herbal leaves and handed them to her with instructions on how to prepare it and on how to consume it too. She told me how much better and lighter she felt, and that made me feel fulfilled. I spent the rest of the weekend helping her clean the house, especially the bathroom and toilet space. My mum thanked me for the visit ,she offered me her prayers and gave me great words of advice to guide me as I journey through life.I got on my bike, satisfied that my visit had made a difference in the house and to her health. Visiting my mum is always refreshing because we used to have time to share lots of experiences and analyze lots of family stories and history, but this time, bringing her herbs that could strengthen her body and ease her mind made it even more special to me. It reminded me how important it is to care for those who cared for us, especially with the little natural things that God has blessed us with in abundance. Thanks for sharing my weekend experience.
