Grasshopper in Panama - PhotoFeed Macro Contest Round 87

Today I stepped outside and saw this guy on my (dying?) rosemary plant! He was quite huge, really!

We see a lot of bugs around here, but I really don't see too many grasshoppers that will just sit there and let me take a lot of photos of them!

I even went away and came back, and he was still there! He didn't seem scared off by me at all.

I decided to zoom in on his legs to try some macro photography and they're pretty wild looking! Looks like lots of tiny little spikes!

He kind of reminds me of the huge grasshoppers in A Bug's Life. His big eyeball kind of looks like sunglasses! So here's my entry:
