Tapai Coffee - New Menu Experiment

I call this an experiment. After you read to the end, I made something that looks very strange. A drink that might make you think it's something unnatural, but trust me, I made it with full confidence and I can guarantee this experiment won't fail. As for the taste? Hmmm... I'm speechless.

I can't even come up with a name for it, seriously :), but this is definitely an amazing drink, LOL. Honestly, this can be truly AMAZING. The moment you take a sip, even the first sip, you'll immediately say, "THIS IS A MASTERPIECE, BABY!" :D

Wait a minute...
You need some ingredients to make this amazing drink, i will showing after this. It's not that difficult, even if you only have instant coffee without sugar. If you already have creamer and sugar in your kitchen bar, then there's no need to add milk or sugar.

So, here are the ingredients:

70-100 grams of tapai (fermented cassava)
2 espresso shots
10 ml condensed milk
100 ml fresh milk
Ice cubes

See? The ingredients are easy if you make your own coffee at home. So, you only need tapai. By the way, tapai is easy to find here. Usually, a pack of tapai costs 0.3 USD, or 5,000 rupiah, or 2 hives, making it an authentic Indonesian probiotic snack.

How to make it?
Sure, you have to read this recipe.

First, you need to smash the tapai in the pot. This is simple because the tapai has a moist texture like mashed potatoes. You can see this way, I crushed it very easily, even with a spoon. If you really need a smarter way, use a sieve and press it lightly to get fine grains of tapai.

You can add condense milk and fresh milk while stirring so everything dissolves in one place. Like a slightly thick liquid, you can finish it with espresso and add more ice cubes for a cooling sensation.

But, this dish is truly delicious with ice cubes. It have a slight alcoholic kick due to the fermentation of cassava yeast, so it's perfect for enjoy on a slightly warm afternoon.
