Hello Splintermates and Hiveans,

Hope you are having a nice weekend. This weeks Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge: Hidden Gems! i would like to share "ARACHNE WEAVER - A HIDDEN GEM" where i am going to share a battle how it synergize with the team and how it help the team to stay alive longer to win the battle against a very strong opponent with dar 'gottem' gearnut, bera dallin and its team summon by eternal tofu.

KNOWING ARACHNE WEAVER

  • Arachne Weaver is part of the rebellion soulbound reward card. It is part of the epic and belongs to the Skitterkin. Arachnes primarily inhabit the Deep and are considered one of the most feared predators of its subterranean ecosystem. They are highly aggressive and territorial and will attack any who venture within their domain.They frequently employ a complex, strategic set of webs to create traps and barriers to ensnare their prey before devouring them at their leisure. Some are highly venomous. Others are adept magic users and healers — although oftentimes even their spells of healing are toxic.

* ARACHNE WEAVER - is a 5 mana epic death rebellion soulbound reward card. At maxed level it has 2 magic, 7 health and 2 speed . At level 6 arachne weaver has corrupted healing ability , scavenger ability and poison ability. Arachne weaver is one of the hidden gem rebellion reward card as it is overshadowed by olivia of the brook. Its corrupted healing ability is one that can help or carry the game. Not only that it has also poison that can slowly kill an opponent as the game last longer coupled with its ability to scavenge.

THE BATTLE

This battle is a 61mana battle with broken arrows battle ruleset against a very strong opponent . My opponent uses eternal tofu as his archon summoning legendary dar 'gottem' gearnut, bera dallin, janni rebel, thanalorian blade, olivia of the brook and harbinger of chaos while i used cryptic as my archon summoning commander slade, giant alpine skink, helheim demon, baron fyatt, arachne weaver and thornmaw berserker.

In here my team is not a representation of a single monster but it is a team synergy using taunt, corrupted healing, halving and poison strategy where my team unleashing poison and causing halving while my opponent targeting my taunt monster and tank. As you can see the difference in health is husge while my opponent uses taunt with triage strategy but arachne weaver corrupted healing done a very good job while my team cause poison to multiple opponent that let my team catch upp on my opponent advantage and turn the battle in my favor.

Broken Arrows - You cannot summon units with ranged attacks. Units with 2 types of attack (which include ranged) cannot be used. Consider utilizing units with Thorns or Magic Reflect, as your opponent will have to use either melee or magic units.

1. CRYPTIC - is a rebellion card dual water and death legendary archon. It is a 7 mana cards. It takes out -1 speed to all enemy units and provide blind to all enemy units from the start of the battle. It also gives added two type of tactics , first option is to give enfeeble, -1 to targets melee power after each succesful attack and retalliate - 50% chance to counter melee attack even after being defeated. Cryptic second tactic is poison - provides 50% chance to provide poison after succesful attack. Poison units will lose 2 health at the beginning of each round . And expose - provide 80% chance to remove forcefield, lookout, deflect, shield, void, void armor, cleanse or immunity after succesful attack.

2. COMMANDER SLADE - is a 10 mana water rare rebellion soulbound reward card. At level 8 it has 5 melee attack, 7 armor, 10 health and 6 speed. It has also enfeeble, dodge, deflect and backfire ability. Its high health, heavy armor, 6 speed and dodge ability makes him a very good tank sometimes they called him tha tank that can not be hit as you can see in the battle replay where my opponent misses a lot on him.

3. GIANT ALPINE SKINK- is a 8 mana common water rebellion soubound card. At level 10 it has 4 melee, 3 armor, 9 health and 5 speed. It also has 3 abilities: shield ability , phase ability and stun ability . In this battle i used him as secondary tank to counter against magic for its phase ability.

4. HELHEIM DEMON - helheim demon is 10 mana rare rebellion death card. At maxed level it has 3 magic attack, 4 armor, 10 health and 4 speed. It also has 4 abilities; flying , taunt ability , corrossive ward ability and cripple ability . In this battle i used him as tuant to make used of arachne weaver corrupted healing works more effective.

5. BARON FYATT - is a legendary death and fire promo card monster. It is a 5 mana death and fire magic monster. At maxed level it has 2 magic attack, 6 health and 2 speed. Baron fyatt has 4 abilities; halving ability (-50% to targets power (rounded up) after a succesful attack, scattershot ability ( magic and ranged targets a random opponent), ambush ability (takes an extra turn prior to the first round of the battle) and blind ability (all enemy melee and ranged attacks had a 15% higher chance of missing their target. Blind also affects units with phase).

6. THORNMAW BERSEKER - is a 7 mana common death conclave arcana reward card. It has triple has 3 melee attack, 4 armnor, 9 health and 4 speed. Since this is a black foil they are always at maxed level. At maxed level it has 4 abilities; final rest ability (allied and enemy abilities that trigger on defeat cannot activate), magic reflect ability, life leech ability and charge ability. This monster can attack at any position due to its charge ability it one of the reason i like to play it with cryptic.

In this 61 mana battle with broken arrows battle ruleset against a very strong opponent my strategy is to used a taunt (helheim demon at 3rd position) , poison ( commander slade as tank and thornmaw berserker at last position ) with the help of corrupted healing (arachne weaver at 5th position ) to sustain my team health and halving ( baron fyatt at 4th position ) specially my opponent using high health monsters. Supported by giant alpine skink as secondary tank. The synergy of using taunt, poison , halving to opponent with corrupted healing to friendly unit works in here that i was able to get the lucky win.
