One of the highlights for the activity was the Bayani Look alike. It's copying or imitating the Philippines hero of your choice. It was unexpected that the teacher chose my son Kurt Anthon in Grade 7 level because he is a shy type person while in Grade 10 they also chose Kirstene Chlloeh Baguio my sister to represent their level. I was a bit excited at the same time in doubt if they could really perform properly since both of them were hesitant but no choice. They were given two weeks to prepare the speech, the costume, the actions and the over all impact of the contest. I let them decide who hero they were going to emulate but both loved to be Andres Bonifacio. By the way you might wonder why my sister select Andres Bonifacio for he is a male hero. Hehehe my sister is a lesbian and there's nothing wrong about it. After choosing the perfect hero for them, next is the speech they were going to memorize. They watched YouTube for their chosen hero's popular speech. I told them to choose the important part of it and they did. Their speeches were some how alike but they put some twists. For the whole weeks, there was lot of rehearse happened. Of course as a mom and a sister I also helped to furnish and made their performance even better. After 2 weeks of preparing, they were both excited to finally showcase what they practiced. When August 28 came, they both nailed it. Many were impressed by how Kurt Anthon's delivered his speech perfectly and how Kirstene Chloeh fiercely said the lines of Andres. Teachers were amazed by their performance especially for Anthon since it was his first time. When they started the awarding, they told me they were both nervous but confident enough for they did their best.
