Health is Wealth ( Anthon's Check -up)

Hi everyone. I hope everybody has a great time today. Please be with me as I am sharing you some important thing a mother should or must do. By the way, I am cbaguio33 and always thankful for this platform the HIVE for the opportunity to share our day to day happenings.

Three days ago, my son Kurt Anthon Baguio told me that he felt dizzy accompanied with headache. I thought it was due to hot weather and I let him take a paracetamol to minimize the pain. I kept on looking at him with a worried face questioning myself "why he looks pale?" I was very worried so I constantly observed him. After taking the paracetamol like 2 hrs already he said the pain was gone but at the back of my mind I told myself I must bring him to the doctor for some check ups. I believe in mother's instinct and it was so loud that time that something was really not good. So I told him the following day to have some check ups with our family doctor. He refused because he was scared if what might be the result. I promised to him that everything was okey and if there'some thing wrong at least it can be prevented as early as possible. He said okey and at 5 pm last Sunday we went straight to his doctor, the doctor said maybe because of too much usage of phone and computer or he was stress due to early classes so he needs to wake up like 4:45 in the morning for his classes will start at 6 o'clock in the morning. I told the doctor if there's possibility he was also anemic so she ordered CBC or Complete Blood Count just to make sure. Without wasting of time, we followed the doctor request for CBC. We went to Hi- Precision Diagnostic and there the procedure happened. He was really scared of the needle like it took 1 hr. to perform the test. I hold his hand at least he felt being comforted. For 12 years, this was his first time so I think his feeling was valid. After, we went home and waited for the online result and exactly 7 in the evening I checked the result online and what made me very worried was his elevated WBC and neutrophils. I was scared and so many what ifs came to my mind. I searched google and it said inflammation, infection or worst cases leukemia. So the following day I went back to his doctor and gave the result. She checked it and told me that there's acute infection that can be treated by antibiotic. I was at ease this time. To be honest, I cried when I saw the result because I was thinking about leukemia. Maybe because in social media, I see many children who are suffering with that disease. I was also glad for it was telling me to be very vigilant if my son felt something like dizziness and headaches.

To all mothers, I know this may not be a big deal but let us always be watchful to our kids. Mild headaches and dizziness might not be very serious but it's better to have them check as early as possible. Health is wealth.
