I ADDED SOME CLASSIC NOVELS TO MY BOOK COLLECTION, I AM SO PUMPED! || ENG - ESP

I did not have any plans to add books to my collection this month, but somehow, I got some classic novels that have already made my entire month. So, there’s this bookstore in my city that my brother talks about and buys books from sometimes. My cousin and I had business at a market close to the area, and we passed by the bookstore and decided to branch in when returning to “just check it out.” That was the plan, but I ended up buying five books. FIVE!!!

I saw the movie adaptation of Wuthering Heights about a week ago, and I attempted to read the actual book in soft copy. I still plan to rant about the movie version I saw, and that will most likely be my next post. Anyway, just imagine my level of excitement when I got to a section and saw classic novels like WUTHERING HEIGHTS, PETER PAN, LITTLE WOMEN, DRACULA, THE GREAT GATSBY, FRANKENSTEIN, and so many more!!! I was so excited and just kept picking the ones I had always heard about.

I couldn’t pick all I wanted because I hadn’t planned for them at all, it was a really hard pick. Eventually, I went for: WUTHERING HEIGHTS by Emily Brontë, LITTLE WOMEN by Louisa May Alcott, THE GREAT GATSBY by F. Scott Fitzgerald, FRANKENSTEIN by Mary Shelley, and EMMA by Jane Austen.

If you could guess the one I plan to read first, I’m very certain your guess would have been Wuthering Heights. However, let me burst your bubble by saying I plan to read EMMA first. Why? I have always wanted to read a work by Jane Austen, and finally, this is my time. Also, I read the brief at the back of the book and it looks like a book I need to read right now. I’m super excited about my new collection of books and really can’t wait to start reading them and also write my reviews about them.

Funny thing is, I could have easily gotten the soft copies of these books online, but see, nothing beats having the hard copies. I even focus better when I read hard copy versions of books. Till today, I wonder how I devoured the soft copies of Colleen Hoover’s It Ends With Us and It Starts With Us. I didn’t give myself enough credit.

Anywayyyy, it’s an amazing purchase that I do not regret one bit. I spent a total of ₦15,400. That's approximately 11 USD for everything. Quite affordable, right?
