Qué Será, Será! Whatever Will Be, Will Be! | My Opinion of From

A special greeting to all movie and TV show lovers! It's been a while since I've been here, and that doesn't mean I haven't watched new movies or series, that's part of my daily routine, but I don't think I'd found anything that inspired me to write like From. Some fellow tenors recommended this TV series to me a few months ago. They said it was perfect for me, since they know I love suspense and horror. And yes, it's not popular enough for me to have even heard of it. In fact, the promotional images of the town or the face of actor Harold Perrineau had never caught my attention. I don't think that's enough to attract an audience, and it seems that the fanbase the series has gained is largely due to word-of-mouth recommendations... At least, that's how I came across it.

Tenía tiempo sin pasar por acá, y no significa que no halla visto películas nuevas o algunas series, eso es parte de mi día a día, pero creo que no había encontrado algo que inspirara a escribir como From. Esta serie de TV me la recomendaron unos compañeros tenores hace unos meses, me dijeron que ere perfecta para mí, ya que saben que amo el suspenso y el terror, y sí, no es tan popular como para que yo conociera su existencia, de hecho la publicidad de las imágenes del pueblo o el rostro del actor Harold Perrineau nunca me habían llamado la atención, opino que no es suficiente para atraer al público, y parece ser que la base de fans que la serie se ha ganado ha sido por recomendaciones de quienes ya la vieron... Al menos de esta forma llegó a mí.

This post is spoiler-free, and since I've only just started the second season, I have more questions than answers. So, if you've already seen the series or are further along, please don't tell me what happens next. I'm just stopping by to recommend it to the community and my friends because I think the story and the production quality are excellent. There's plenty of suspense, though some episodes stand out more than others. The whole thing revolves around a town where crazy things happen, and nobody can leave. So, the question we ask ourselves in each episode is, "What will happen?"

En este post no van a conseguir spoilers, y como a penas he comenzado con la segunda temporada, son más las preguntas que tengo que las respuestas, así que si ya viste esta serie o si estás más adelantado no me vayas a comentar lo que ocurrirá, ya que solo paso por acá a recomendarle a la comunidad y a mis amigos que vean esta serie, porque considero que es muy buena la historia y la calidad de la grabación. Hay suspenso del bueno, aunque algunos episodios resaltan más que otros y todo se basa en torno a un pueblo donde pasan cosas descabelladas, y nadie puede salir de ahí, así que la pregunta que nos hacemos en cada episodio es ¿Qué Será?.

"Que Sera, Sera," the famous 1950s song by Doris Day, plays at the beginning of each episode, albeit a dark and somber version. This made me love the entire experience of watching From even more, because I've been as desperate as the people who live in that strange town, who don't know what's happening, what tomorrow will bring, or who the creatures that terrify them are. And so far, at the beginning of the second season, I only see them uncovering more secrets. If you don't mind seeing mangled corpses, which is truly the most disturbing thing I've seen so far, then this series is for you.

Qué Será, Será, la famosa canción de los años 50 de Doris Day es la música que suena al inicio de cada capítulo, aunque una versión oscura y sombría, lo que me hizo amar más toda la experiencia de disfrutar de From, y es que me he desesperado junto a las personas que viven en ese extraño pueblo que no saben lo que pasa, no saben que será del día de mañana o quienes son las criaturas que los atemorizan, y hasta ahora, inicios de la segunda temporada, solo veo que descubren más secretos. Si no te molesta ver cadáveres destrozados, que realmente es lo más fuerte que he visto hasta ahora, entonces esta serie es para ti.

It premiered in 2022, and those who know me know it's not unusual for me to watch TV series that have been around for a while or have already ended, because I hate having to wait so long for another season. But this time, From came into my life and piqued my interest out of nowhere, so I'm enjoying it immensely. Although, I should warn you that they're currently finishing filming a fourth season, which won't be released until 2026. But I don't think the wait will be too unbearable for me. In fact, it's one of those series I can rewatch without getting bored, so I'll keep wondering, "What will happen? What will become of those people and that town?" Se estrenó en 2022, y quienes me conocen saben que no es extraño para mí ver series de televisión que ya tienen algún tiempo o que ya se acabaron, y es que odio tener que esperar tanto tiempo para otra temporada; pero en esta oportunidad From llegó a mi vida a mi interés de la nada, así que la estoy disfrutando muchísimo, aunque les advierto que justo ahora en noviembre se está terminando de grabar una cuarta temporada que saldrá para el 2026, pero creo que no será tan desesperante para mí la espera, de hecho es de esas series que puedo volver a ver sin aburrirme, así que me seguiré preguntando ¿Qué será? Qué pasa con esa gente y con este pueblo, y para terminarte de convencer, te dejo con este tráiler.
