A New Beginning

Hello friends, happy reunion to everyone, especially my felines. Today I'm sharing a very moving experience, which led to a happy ending and then unleashed anguish again.

Let me see if I can explain, a few months ago a niece and my sister-in-law were walking around the neighborhood, while they were walking they heard some kittens moaning, in a forgotten alley, they turned around out of curiosity to see where the moaning was coming from and discovered five newborn kittens lying in a box, they were worried and did not know what to do, but moved by the love for their pets they were able to react, one of them has a dog as a pet and the other, my sister-in-law, has a cat, which she found some time ago in the same conditions abandoned.

Un Nuevo Comienzo

Hola amigos, feliz encuentro para todos, en especial a mis felinos. Hoy les traigo una experiencia muy conmovedora, que preparó un final feliz y luego desató otra vez una angustia.

A ver si les puedo explicar, hace unos meses una sobrina y mi cuñada se encontraban paseando por los alrededores de la vecindad, cuando caminaban oyeron unos gemidos de unos gatitos, en un callejón olvidado, se voltearon por curiosidad para ver de dónde salía el gemido y descubrieron cinco gatitos recién nacidos tirados en una caja, ellas intranquilas no supieron qué hacer, pero movidas por el amor a sus mascotas pudieron reaccionar, una de ellas tiene como mascota un perrito y la otra que es mi cuñada tiene un gato, que lo encontró hace un tiempo en las mismas condiciones abandonado.

They were abandoned, vulnerable kittens, seeing them hungry and trembling, then they decided to bring them home to care for and feed them, they did not know the great responsibility they were going to have, they accommodated them in a fairly large box with a quilt while day and night they were cared for, they took turns day after day, and some days when I went to visit them, I put my hand on them, I noticed them, dark circles, sleepless and exhausted, it was like raising a newborn baby, can you imagine five without having any experience.

Eran gatitos abandonados, vulnerables, al verlos hambrientos y temblorosos, entonces decidieron traerlos a la casa para atenderlos y alimentarlos, no sabían la gran responsabilidad que iban a tener, los acomodaron en una caja bastante amplia con una colcha mientras que día y noche los fueron atendiendo, se turnaron días tras días, y algunos días que las iba a visitar, les metía la mano, las note, ojerosas, trasnochadas y agotadas era como criar a un bebe recién nacido, se imaginan cinco sin tener ninguna experiencia.

Every day, they were fed in a warm place. Their sister-in-law had to keep her cat out of the house so he wouldn't get jealous; she was also afraid he would hurt them. I loved the passion they showed in saving them. Every night, I put their milk in the refrigerator, because she didn't have one, and with great patience, they dedicated themselves to feeding him every day with their makeshift bottles. They changed his bed to keep him comfortable and healthy.

Todos los días en un lugar cálido eran alimentados. La cuñada tuvo que impedir la entrada de su gato, para que no sintiera celos; también ella tenía temor de que les hiciera daño. Me encantó la pasión que pusieron para salvarlos. Cada noche yo les resguardaba la leche en el refrigerador, porque ella no tenía nevera, y con mucha paciencia ellas se dedicaron a nutrirlo cada día con sus biberones improvisados. Le cambiaban su camita para que estuvieran cómodos y sanos.

Days passed and the five kittens began to change, they no longer meowed as much, they opened their eyes and each one's agility could be noticed, their paws were more secure, they began to explore and more than once they were found out of their crib, that was the reward of the effort, that they invested in them. Although they were already becoming part of the family, it was impossible to have them, since the sister-in-law had her occupations and did not socialize her pet with them, the niece lived in another place with her little pet, it was temporary until the kittens could fend for themselves and could find an adoptive home.

Pasaron los días y los cinco gatitos comenzaron a cambiar, ya no maullaban tanto, ya abrían sus ojos y cada uno se les podía notar sus agilidades, sus patitas eran más seguras, empezaron a explorar y más de una vez lo encontraban fuera de su cuna, esa fue la recompensa del esfuerzo, que ellas invirtieron en ellos. Aunque ya estaban formando parte de la familia era imposible tenerlos, ya que la cuñada tenía sus ocupaciones y no socializo su mascota con ellos, la sobrina vivía en otro lugar con su pequeña mascota, estaba temporal hasta que los gatitos pudieran valerse por sí solo y pudieran encontrar un hogar adoptivo.

They were already beginning to grow independent and strong. Meanwhile, they began planning the adoption of each of them. They posted their stories on WhatsApp and other social media platforms. They were all happily handed over to responsible families, with the promise of a new beginning. My sister-in-law returned to her daily chores and dedicated herself to her beautiful pet, who later fell ill. I'll tell you about it another time, a feline hug.

Ya comenzaron a ser independientes y fuertes. Mientras tanto ellas comenzaron a planificar la adopción de cada uno de ellos. Se publicaron en los estados de WhatsApp, y otras redes sociales. Hasta que todos fueron entregados felizmente a familias responsables, con la promesa de un nuevo comienzo. Mi cuñada volvió a sus quehaceres y a dedicarse a su hermosa mascota, que luego enfermó.
