Quote of the Day – Leo Kearse on the migrant related troubles in Northern Ireland

When I saw that it had all kicked of in Ulster/Northern Ireland over the arrest of two Roma teenagers originally from Romania for sexual offences, I thought to myself that it is unlikely that the local people kicked off out of the blue over this. I also wondered if the local people had tried the peaceful democratic route, a route I ALWAYS advise people to take, before kicking off? Well Leo Kearse, the comedian and GB News contributor, is claiming that he is being told by local people in Ballymena that they did try the political and peaceful route but they were brushed off by the local Establishment.
Mr Kearse took to the X platform to speak of the terrible violence that has now spread across Northern Ireland, the spark behind it and the response by the authorities to the disturbances.
Mr Kearse said:
Whilst I accept that Mr Kearse is being very tongue in cheek with his suggestion that the migrants should be dumped on left and Lib Dem/Green voting areas, he does have somewhat of a point. That point is that many of those who cheer on the idea of open borders or are ‘refugees welcome’ morons often do not have to live with the consequences of the policies that they promote. Even if they do live in the areas that have been ‘enriched’ without the permission of local people, they are probably shielded from the vast majority of the negative effects of this ‘enrichment’ by being relatively wealthy.
I was struck by Mr Kearse’s claim that local people had indeed tried to use the peaceful and political route when they became troubled by imported sex criminals but were rebuffed. As someone who has documented public disorder, I concur with Mr Kearse’s assessment of the situation, which was that the sheer numbers of protestors overwhelmed the police. I also agree that in this situation, as there have been in other similar situations, the anti-migrant criminal protests in Northern Ireland are attracting the ‘recreational fighters’, who are just in it for the buzz.
It is an indication as to how badly the authorities have failed to protect the local people of Ballymena that so many people are engaging in so much violence, whilst knowing and understanding that when or if they are caught, they are going to go down for a long time. Why would people take such risks? A recreational rioter might not think carefully about what they are doing but someone with a family and a job might do so. It’s a worrying development when those with much to lose but who felt that their kids were in danger of assault or harassment from the unwanted migrants who’ve been dumped on them, start to take street actions like this. I’m not saying that those who have chosen violence are correct to do so, it’s wrong that it has come to this and I would far rather politics had been used more effectively, but fear for their children must be the motivation for at least some of those involved in these disturbances and why some are disregarding the potential consequences of their actions. Maybe the violence could have been avoided if local people had not been told ‘go away racist’ by those in authority when bringing up the migrant related problems they were suffering from?
Like Mr Kearse I have seen how the disturbances in Ballymena and elsewhere have resulted in the removal of the Roma from the immediate area. I don’t think that the authorities had any alternative but to do this since it’s obvious that the police couldn’t protect this group in situ. As Mr Kearse says this result, the removal of the Roma, might be noticed elsewhere in Britain and that could be a problem elsewhere, as the country is indeed on a knife edge at the moment. Let’s hope and pray that Mr Kearse is wrong and that a political solution can be reached regarding the problems created by excessive and inappropriate types of migration before Britain further slides down the roads marked ‘Lebanon’ or ‘Yugoslavia’.
We in Britain should not be in the position of waiting in fear and trepidation to see if things all kick off in the worst possible way. Maybe just maybe, if the reasonable and politely worded objections by Britons to mass and inappropriate migration that have been voiced for many years had been listened to and acted upon, then we might not be in this current horrendous situation. The problem is that these reasonable and polite approaches were often brushed off by politicians who continued to prop the doors of the nation wide open. It’s a depressing thought but I believe we might be heading for some pretty awful times, think along the lines of the economic and political problems of the 1970’s but with added inter-communal conflict – nasty.
Now because of decades of cock-ups by the political classes, it looks as if we could have the horror of King Mob on even more streets, with all that this entails. I think we will see King Mob unjustly targeting the guilty and the innocent alike as I doubt that the mob will be able to discern, in the heat of the moment of disturbances, the difference between an imported predator and an innocent person who just happens to share national or physical characteristics with a predator. I hope it’s not going to be like the aftermath of 9/11 in the USA all over again, where Sikhs and Hindus were being attacked by morons who thought they were Moslem extremists. Let’s hope and sincerely pray that there isn’t some jihadist terrorist outrage or anything like the Southport Atrocity during the summer as that might be the spark for even more serious trouble. We should hope that there there not any such atrocities not just because they could foment more trouble, but because such atrocities are terrible in themselves.
For the record I’m not completely opposed to migration, some appropriate and needed migration into a society is a good thing, there will always be a need to allow in those who have skills the nation needs and who are willing to throw their lot in with Britain and with Britons. However it is clear that Britain has taken in a lot of people who not only do we not need for our society to function but who have no loyalty to the UK, no intention of integrating with the majority population, who are criminals or who see Britain as a piggy bank that they can dip into whenever they want. We have also imported people who are culturally incompatible, who hate us and hate our way of life or who see Britons as little more than prey. This is an unsustainable problem which should not be shoved under the carpet any more. The political classes need to get a grip on the issue of mass and inappropriate migration, drop their slavish worship of ‘international law’ and ‘treaties’, turn their attention to the UK and solve the problems they’ve created. Let’s have some ‘jaw jaw’ before we end up with ‘war war’. Britons need to take up our ballot papers and walk to the polling stations at every opportunity and change the politicians who have created this problem for ones who will solve it.
